  I think what the State of WY is doing falls under the provisions of Title 32 USCA, Section 109c, Orgainzing a State Defense Force. Under this Law every state can organize and maintain a State Defense Force seperate of and from their National Guard. Good Show WY.

  Evidently there are some who are totatlly unaware of a provision in Federal Law that permits the States to organize, train and equip a State Defense Force. That Federal Law is Title 32 United States Code, Section 109c. This allows each state to maintain a Military Force Seperate of and from their National Guard. At one time some 34 states had them, but with the end of the Cold-War many states thinking they had nothing to fear any longer de-activated their State Defense Forces.

  Maybe with the current Economic Conditions they should reconsider their actions and Re-Activate their State Defense Forces. In many cases they were organized simular to the Militia of Lexington and Concord, Each Person was require to provide their own uniforms, military style firearms, ammunition, and field equipment.

  Personally I think that it is past time to take such action.

  If the man was so innocent why and how was he able to identify the location of over 20 IED’s as well as the location of at least four seperate Taliban Locations spread out over three miles in Fullja. LTC did not beat the man he fired his service pistol into the wall behind the man and that is all he did. Get your facts streight instead of what the Main Stream Media espouse. Incidently LTC West himself was not given a Courts Martial for the incident, which had it happened as you discribed he would be sitting in Fort Levenworth US Military Disciplinary Barracks and not in Congress.

  A Field Grade Article 15 can result ina one or more reduction in Rank, a loss of up to one half one one months pay for two months and it goes into your Personnel File and can lead to a bar to re-enlistment. A bar to re-enlistment can in effect end a Marines Career, as can a Field Grade Article 15. Those who have never served cannot comprehend that this type of punishment can end a soldiers career real quick.

  Sane, I am 68 years old, and retired from the US Army with 40+ years of service. Quite honestly if it would do any good I would post my email addres in hopes that you would be stupid enough to send me an email, because I would then give you my address and invite you to come to my home and address me in the manner you have addressed many of those on this Program who support LTC West. I can assure you that you would not like my personal response.

  Sane have you ever served in Combat? I do not think so your comments regarding what is being said in this program in support of LTC West, his comments and the action of a few Marines depict a person who has never been in combat. As to why I do not Like the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave Washington DC, it is simple this is the same man who refused to render honors to the American Flag, refused to wear the American Flag pin on his lapel, called the Constitution Flawed and out dated, has ignored Article II as to what his power and authority is and is not, ramed through a Socialist program on Health Care that is going to drive this nation into becoming a third world nation, he has added 6.2 Trillion Dollars to our National Debt since January 20, 2009. I could go on and on listing his faults and the problems I have regarding him, suffice it to say that in my view based on what he has done or tried to do Barack Obama/Barry Seutro is a Socialist and a danger tyo the USA.

  JZS, If LTC West was drumed out of the Army as you claim he would not be allowed under Federal Law to continue to use the title of Leiutenant Colonel. It is evident that your lack of understanding regarding Military Law and Regulations leaves a lot to be desired. What LTC West did that got him into hot water with the Brass was fire his M92 Pistol into the wall next to the head of a Talidan who was seated in a chair. That action in no way violates the Geneva Convention nor the UCMJ, but it did upset a few General Officers. LTC West by so doing managed to gain information as to the location of some IED’s and where the Taliban had set up ambushes to take out his Battalion, I say more Officers should have the balls to take such action.

  To all of those who are deriding LTC West for his Comments, and or attempting to disparge this mans career let me say this, I AS A COMBAT VETERN AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH HIS ADMIONITION TO THE MEDIA AND CRYBABIES Until you have walked in those Marines Boots get a life. I have walked in those boots, I was in the Army in Nam, so get off of your selfrighteous BS and maybe if you would enlist in either the Army or the Corp in a combat MOS serve sometime in Iraq or Afghanistan you just might understand them.

  I lost an adopted son in Afghanistan and my Namesake Cousin in Iraq, so get a frigging life people and that goes for all of the dipwad politicians also..
