  This is nothing but a farce by the Republicans! They know that the highway bill will not pass and they’re going to vote on this amendment to eliminate the so-called ‘Christian’ issue.   I have not been able to sleep in days because I‘ve been so worried that the debt ceiling issue wouldn’t be solved before Obama’s 50th birthday bash. Can you imagine how horrific it would be if he had to miss his party due to an issue as trivial as the U.S. economy?

  I agree Joe. Based on several articles that have come out today from the credit rating companies, our downgrade is inevitable because we won’t cut the spending necessary to save it. We need to clean house in 2012 in both chambers!
