  There are conservative black people in Chicago. There was another black woman politician pushing for 2nd amendment rights about two years ago. She was an ex-cop, and she KNEW that gun control did nothing but put guns in the hands of criminals.

  The problem is that in Chicago, there is no Republican party so to speak of. If you want to go into politics and make a difference, it is a one party town and there NO CHOICE but be a Democrat.
