Kentucky Businessman Buys Out Closing Kmart — and Donates Everything to Charity

I know Rankin personally, he is a wonderful man with God close to his heart. He did not do this for notoriety or publicity. But in a small town you cannot keep anything secret… one of the benefits and also the curses. I am so thankful that God has given him the resources to provide to so many in need right now. But it pains me and many others that through stimulus, and frivolous spending the pie just keeps getting smaller. Rankin believes in the Reagan philosophy that for more to share then the pie needs to be bigger. That is the only way to prosperity. God Bless him!
Joel Osteen: ‘The Scripture Says That Being Gay Is a Sin’
April 30, 2012 at 2:41pm
@VOTEBUSHIN 12
As anyone who does have knowledge of scripture will tell you, Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. The New Covenant does not replace the law, it provides us with the act of redemptive mercy to allow us to be washed completely clean. Should we then follow it in its entirety? No as we are told this is impossible. Faith in Christ fulfills the law. (Romans 3:31) But it does not change the fact that anything we do that is sinful is enough to separate us from a perfect and Holy God.
So that being said, ANY acts we choose (1 Peter 4:3) to do that are defined by Jesus or any apostle as sexual immorality is a sin. That is pre-marital sex, homosexuality, adultery etc. That is condemned innumerable times throughout the NT.

As the Father-in-law of a recently wounded soldier, I am all for setting some new rules regarding IED’s. From my mother, “why can’t we let the prisoners walk in front of our troops.” Then add to it, place a helmet cam on the point and broadcast them blowing up to every SOB in this Godforsaken place! Maybe that will deter a few of them!

Are Iran’s Actions Setting the Groundwork for the Fulfillment of Biblical Armageddon?

@Okie, OOOPPPS. I did not read this statement carefully enough “If I believe Jesus is not the Son of God and you do, do we worship the same God”
I regretfully answer that my answer is no… I read this in haste and assumed you said that if Jesus is the Son of G-d, then regardless of what prophetic theory we believe are we all worshipping the same G-d. Jesus the son, an integral part of the three persons that is the one True G-d. Then without hesitation we are all Children of G-d, Born Again, Believers. I hope that you will see this not as a judgment upon you or anyone else for the L-rd is the only one who has this responsibility. But there is no grey area concerning this doctrine. Jew or Gentile.
As I said before, Jews will have an opportunity for reconciliation certainly at the end of the Tribulation, but I hope and pray that our dear brothers, G-d’s Chosen People if they are righteous will have provison from the L-rd to accept Jesus before it is too late.
Maranatha! Come Quickly L-rd Jesus. Not an angel or Archangel but the one and only true son of G-d who is G-d and will always be.

My last post was too long sorry for that. If you read this or not that is fine. But it is worth saying.
Your last point “do we worship the same G-d.” Absolutely! NONE of what we have discussed here is essential for anyone to accept Jesus as Savior and L-rd. He has made that clear. We can disagree on much but not on the fundamentals of our Faith.
The “he” in verse 27 in my interpretation refers back to Chapter 8 and the pointing to the ruler to come as there is a shift in focus to the Antichrist at the midpoint of verse 26. Not unlike what is said in Matthew 24:3. Two separate statements and Jesus clarified that for us. The end of the age comes first then His coming.
I appreciate your last post and where you have arrived, but I can say the same thing but in the reverse. I used to teach Amillennialism but have looked anew at the preponderance of Scripture that cannot be explained any other way than that of future events that are yet to be fulfilled. It would be of great illumination to test and debate the scriptures with you at any later date. If we ever stop learning we are doomed to complacency and being overcome by the wiles of the Devil. Stay strong in your faith.

@okie
Also apologize for the late response:
It is clear that there is only one way to the Father and that is through the Son. Be it Jew or Gentile. However, in Romans 11:25-27, it is clear that G-d has a plan for the Jews. The full measure of the Gentiles must come in BEFORE he lifts the Blindness and allows them to return. This scripture says ALL. Is that the remnant spoken of in Zechariah 13:8-9, those who come through the Tribulation.. could be. It also may mean that there is a dispensation to the Jews that we have only glimpses of.. Where did Jesus go when His body lay in the tomb… as we are told into the earth, he descended to Sheol to bring the gospel to Paradise. Who inhabited Paradise.. the righteous before the cross Jew and gentile, Hebrews 11, Luke 16, the thief on the cross etc. So is there a dispensation for all Jews that the L-rd has blinded through Jesus… maybe… but still only through the redeeming blood of Jesus.
I agree that 457 BC is the correct starting point. It encompasses the decree from Artaxerxes and moving forward 483 years you arrive at 27 AD. Then 3 1/2 years equals 31 AD for being cut off. But like so many before us I see that verse 27 and the ” he” referring to the Antichrist and you see it referring to Christ. I am in the camp as you stated with theory that is commonly held today and brings to light many other Scriptures in a “plain sense” meaning rather from the Amillennial or spiritualizing view. That is ano

A side note reading back through all of the posts.. Okie said “Jews were brought back to their homeland after released from Babylon.” This is partially true, or a partial fulfillment of the ultimate exile by the Romans in 70 AD. Reason being Jeremiah 3:18, 50:4-7 and 16:14-15, these verses describe the combined nation of Judah and Israel. Judah alone returned from Babylon, Israel was still exiled in Assyria. As it says in Ezekiel 37, it is G-d’s intention to bring both houses together in the end times, thus the restoration “Fig Tree” we have witnessed since 1948.
Secondly, Okie said “after” he believes that implies in the Seventh Week of years. That is also a leap of faith in his interpretation just as I believe that it implies “cut off” EXACTLY at the expiration of the 483rd year. Leaving the 7th unfulfilled.
The unfulfilled week helps us to understand the sealed prophecies that the L-rd has promised us in the end times, “son‘s and daughter’s will prophesy” etc. It explains G-d’s promise to the Jews, His promise in Nahum to not leave the guilty unpunished, His promise in Isaiah 26:9 to His people to learn righteousness. It also makes what Jesus said in Matthew 24 a truth, that if He does not return during this time of Great Tribulation “no one would survive” have we ever been this close in all of history to total annihilation? Even what Hitler did PALES in comparison to what is coming.
Lastly, it fulfills G-d’s promise to His son to reign i

Okie, thanks for the response. I see you have been very busy answering many, many issues regarding your position. You write as a historicist and/or preterist. I grant you that many of the L-rd’s prophecies have had local or partial fulfillment but that as a futurist many will be fulfilled completely by future events. What many neglect is that the Tribulation, the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” etc. is focused on the Jews. As Paul stated emphatically they are certainly not forgotten. In addition, they ALL will be brought in after the full measure of the gentiles have been brought in. They have been blinded until that time is completed. Bringing us back to the timetable or “bones” of Daniel’s prophecy.
I agree that 69 weeks have been fulfilled. Leaving us with that last 7. You say Jesus was cut off “crucified” in the middle, I believe it is at the end of the 483rd year reckoned by the only year to have a a Special Sabbath and a Sabbath allowing Jesus own prophecy of 3 days and 3 nights as Jonah was in the belly of the fish to be fulfilled (Friday – Sunday does not fulfill this) This is clearly pointed to by John’s gospel and the writers of the synoptic gospels. Two Sabbath’s same week and a first day of the week empty tomb. Looking at those facts it is very easy to calculate what year he was crucified which does not place it in the middle of the 7 referred to by Daniel AND equal 483 years from the well established start time in Daniel 9:25.

Okie, I appreciate your thoughtful attempt to prove your position, but you have hung so much on the word “after.” In Daniel 9:26. If the scriptures stated 7 62 1 then OK, but it clearly does not. It infers the 7 is unfulfilled.
There are so many reliable caculations that place the 483 years spoken of by Daniel at exactly the correct time of the crucifixion of our L-rd. The Jews missed it…(blinded, Romans 9) The final week of years is the Tribulation to complete the prophecy in 9:24. Look at 9:24, it is addressed to the Jews. Have these been fulfilled for them other than the atonement for iniquity. The Day of the L-rd is upon us in a general sense and will be fulfilled in a narrow sense Zechariah 12:10. The Jews at the end of the Tribulation will recognize their (and our) Messiah, thus beginning the Millenial reign.
