  If you insist on making the success or failure of a football player or team all about their religious beliefs then you deserve to be ridiculed. It‘s a football game for Christ’s sake. Tim Tebow doesn‘t deserve to win or lose a football game because he’s an admired Christian man. He wins or loses because he’s a good or bad player. It‘s hypocritcal to condemn those who aren’t Christian because they believe in the Old Testament God, Allah, or Buddah, yet demand universal praise and love for Tim Tebow because he’s Christian. Believe it or not there is no official religion in the United States of American. All are accepted and supported without prejudice — if you truly believe in the Constitution.

  God does not care who wins football games. He‘s not on anyone’s side. BM’s words have no meaning if you stop believing that Jesus has a hand in the winning or losing of sporting events.

  Of course America will survive another Obama term. We managed to survive two Bush terms, we managed to survive two Reagan terms, we managed to survive 1 and 1/2 Nixon terms. True patriots recognize the strength of this country and celebrate its diversity and resiliance. True patriots do not live in fear of the nation’s demise. Let’s get rid of obstuctionist legislators and get to work preparing for the future.

While Jefferson may have been a benevolent slave holder, and struggled intellectually and morally with the institution, he had and held slaves on his properties until he died. Never found a way of operating his plantations without slave labor. He was a slave holder, which is a fact that can’t be denied. So was George Washington and many of the founding fathers. No matter his private thoughts or post-death intentions, Jefferson never fought for the abolition of the slave trade as Wilberforce and others in Great Britain did with success, and allowed a passage condemning slavery to be excised from the Declaration of Independence as a compromise to southern representatives of the colonies. That’s history and fact
