  The problem wasn’t the fact that children pick up crass words from adults around them, the point of the problem was how everyone thought it was so funny and kept laughing, egging the child on and on. That was the immaturity of the issue.

  Had the show portrayed the normal parental horror of the moment and how everyone looks at the parent as the basis for the child learning the word, it could have been used as a lesson. Where did the child hear the word? If from the parents, why were they so immature in front of a toddler? Have they realized their actions are being watched by their child? How do they expect her to behave in school, where cussing is not tolerated? If she learned it from someone else – how would that be addressed?

  Instead, they ONLY went for the entertainment value and thumbed their noses at Christians and their supposed puritanical attitudes. It seems to never occur to liberals that cussing isn’t just a Christian issue, but a maturity and intelligence issue that affects those around you. As I tell my kids, only ignorant fools have to use cuss words to explain their feelings.

  Though I understand your concerns regarding racism, let’s not play stupid here. Racism has transcended the stereotypical “white racist” and entered into an entirely new realm of “black racist.” As the old adage states, “two wrongs don’t make a right.” Unfortunately, black America didn’t learn this adage and made racism a much more destructive issue than it should have been. They forgot it was WHITE America that fought and died to free themm. It was WHITE America that agreed they had reversed old laws. (That would be the MAJORITY of whites by the way.) It took courage to admit their wrongs and correct them – yet, their descendants have been hated ever since.

  Instead of being thankful that a color-blinded group of people finally saw the light, today‘s blacks have eschewed their ancestors’ grace, dignity and ethics. They have decided to blame them for all their ills, to throw tantrums, to hold grudges, to act like spoiled children. Not what their ancestors fought so hard for!

  So, yes, it is obvious that Michelle is angry. You don’t have to be a racist to see her hate, disdain and disgust for whites. Ask anyone that’s worked with her – it’s well known in Chicago and D.C. Listen to her comments. Read. Take off your blinders. She is full of hate for white America. She wants to punish whites by controlling them, enslaving them and eventually destroying them.   To Smackdown:

  I’m not sure if you are a Muslim or atheist intent on trying to change historical fact or just ignorant on the true history of Jesus. Either way, please be quiet on a subject that you obviously do NOT have any true knowledge about.

  Jesus was most definitely a Jew. He was born into a Jewish family and was a Rabbi/teacher. In fact, the majority of Galileans were of Jewish descent, the rest were considered Gentiles. This was an area cut off from the main Roman ruler, and as such, a client-state ruled by Herod and then Herod Antipas. This is also the area where most of today’s rabbinic Jewish beliefs originated as Jewish Rabbis fled there after Roman revolts. It is also were they established academies, and compiled the Mishnah and the Talmud.

  As for Pharisees and Sadducees. These are the main two “classes” of Jews, but NOT the only ones. They had very separate beliefs and attitudes. Though both classes joined to try and stop Jesus, it was from the Pharisees that many of the first Christians came.

  The reason Jesus was mockingly called King of the Jews, is because he proclaimed to be the Savior of the Jewish prophecy (um…only a Jew could claim that role). Read the Bible or the writings of Josephus for a basic understanding.

  JNEALER – You need to do some research on the Palestine area (not the lies spread by today’s Palestine). The Palestine area was settled by other races, including Jews, well before any of those termed “Palestinian” moved into the area. In fact, most of them were KICKED OUT of their own countries because they were such violent groups of people.

  I can’t stand such ignorance on a topic that is easy to understand if you read authentic historical books and not the propaganda fed our country today.

  Selfish is when you go against the Bible to make your members happy and enlarge your membership. This is NOT about us, it is about God.

  We are to be IN the world but not OF the world. We are to be reverent, solemn, somber and in awe during worship. Where does contemporary music, instruments and clapping fit into that?

  By the way, what about the verses where Jesus and the Apostles admonished Christians for wanting to bring the World into Church, especially paganism which was heavy in musical instruments and theatrics? Or, what about the first Church elders’ and their writings against such sinful behavior?

  And why does His Word change over time? People haven’t changed. We are the same greedy, selfish, loving, weak, strong people that have existed throughout time. Needs and feelings don’t change, just the environment around us. So, why do we force God’s desires to change?

  Well, very few churches follow the entire New Testament. Most don’t even understand the basics or teach the basics. Very few understand the original Greek/Hebrew versions to understand the meanings of words. Take for instance Psallo. I’ve seen numerous top ministers state that it means “plucking a harp string.” Well, that wasn’t until many centuries AFTER the Bible was written, much less the 1st Century understanding of the word – which was to “praise with voice” or “vocal music.”

  I wonder, why worship God if it is to make YOU happy and not HIM? Since it is HIS Church and HIS Word, since when does OUR needs matter?

  The Bible does provide many examples of what is correct and incorrect in worship. One of the biggest things is that WORSHIP must be reverent, orderly(regimented) and somber. I don’t believe anyone can state that most of the instrumental music in churches today is somber or reverent. Loud, rambunctious, joyful – yes. But, that isn’t what Jesus or the Apostles prescribed for the actual worship service.

  By the way…is Church about what WE want or what GOD wants? Seems we have OWS type attitudes in our churches. Me, me, me…

  Some historical evidence regarding this issue can be found in early Church Elders’ writings that clearly verifies that they were taught (some directly by the Apostles) that ANY instrument in worship or any type of theatrics was considered pagan and sinful.

  Let’s take you for instance…if you make $50,000 a year and your neighbor makes $25,000 a year, shouldn’t you pay a LOT more in taxes? Based on your comment, It’s not fair that you make so much more. In a sense, you are telling those with more money that they have no right to what they earn. Yes, they do! All of us do. The truth is, life is better for ALL Americans. Even our poor here live better than 80% of the world. Did you know that?

  The fact is that life is NEVER fair and it’s time for liberal nitwits to figure that out. Even under socialism, there is a huge discrepancy between those in power and the average citizen. The difference between socialism and capitalism is that with capitalism, you have the hope, chance and ability to shorten the difference based on what YOU CHOOSE to do. You have the freedom to make more choices and earn more money. In socialist countries, you are either one of the 99% poor or the 1% rich with NO options in between. All are poor to so that all are equal (except the leaders). That’s the fact liberals fail to tell you.
