  As a person who has over $110k in SL debt I’ll tell you this, the universities, the students, the banks and the government loan providers are all at fault, but the only one who truly suffers is the loan holder. No one put a gun to my head and said take this loan, but the school’s “financial aid” package was nothing more than loans. Worst of all once you’re in, it‘s not like you’re going to suddenly stop and say what this is not right, you just keep going and the schools, the feds, and the private lenders just keep giving you money without any real concept of how much you are borrowing. When you buy a car you have to go through a lot of paperwork to get a loan. With student loans it’s as easy as a few clicks of a button and an electronic signature. Bam you have your tuition paid for the year. Make student loan more easily dischargeable or we risk killing the next middle class.

  That’s not too bad, but I’m sure the crosswinds might make it tougher. The reason why maybe only 8 pilots can fly into the airport is because so few people need to go there. It doesn’t look like a major metro area by any western definition.

  This is sickening, but then again if the people (and the politicians they elect) wish to continue the practice, than who am I (a South Carolina conservative) to say other wise. You bet your bottom dollar, we don’t have things like this where I live…we wouldn’t stand for it.

  I find it interesting that Mr. Gross rails K street, but yet his firm has spent more than $300,000 this year on K street lobbyist (source: http://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/clientsum.php?id=D000023352&year=2011). What a double standard.
