I think John Stewart has some nerve going out and comparing these protests to the orginal Boston Tea Party. I mean its one thing to compare the current tea party movement to this thing, even though they are nothing alike, but to compare this to a group of colonists who wanted their freedom from an oppressive tyranny is just wrong.

I have no problem with local food pantrys collecting food and giving it to people who really need it, but it seems like this new character isn’t being put on mainly to encourage people to give to charities, more likely it seems that it will be promoting welfare programs like food stamps that our country doesn’t really need or have the money for right now.
