  • In most cases I would totally agree. I have lived in a large metro area and the most they do is put up a little warning thing on the bottom of the tv. I now live in this stations viewing area and I can tell you that even last April 27th, James Spann and his team were on the tv non-stop until the stroms were out of the state. He is very passionate about his job and it shows. He is not just some guy they stick on tv to tell the weather.

  • I acutally went to this school (before it was called Campell) and it is a very diverse part of the Atlanta area (well, which part of ATL is not diverse). If you don’t know where this is, it is just northwest of Atlanta in Smyrna. I salute the dad for standing up for his beliefs and also for reviewing his daughters homework. Somthing I belive all parents should be doing regardless of what school they attend. I am ashamed that this teacher thought that this was a good argument for school uniforms.

As for people saying that GA and this town are full of rednecks, no. The people who where born and raised in the area are few and far between. Because of it’s proximity to Atlanta, most of the people who live there are not true Georgians, or true southerners.

  • Just because it is an IB school does not mean that this is one of the classes in that curriculum. This could just be a regular history class and not and IB class. There is a difference.

BTW, I am not excussing any of this.

  • I remember when I was little, I would visit with my grandmother for the summer. We would watch shows like Magnum P.I. where they would drive a car off a cliff or it would blow up. She would always say,”If they are just going to blow it up, why don’t they just give it to me? What a waist!” Now, my mother thinks that all the problems that the middle class has come from large corporations and all the tax breaks and special deductions they take. She keeps saying that the middle class needs help to get out from where they are. This strikes me as funny since she taught us to be pretty self sufficient growing up. She doesn‘t seem to get that no matter how much tax the gov’t takes in, they will spend every last penny. Just like every American, the only way to fix the budget/defecit problem is to cut spending. Don’t raise taxes, it doesn’t help anyone! Not even the government!
