I agree the saying, “No atheists in foxholes”, is a ridiculous saying. But I find your statement, “We don‘t believe in gods for exactly the same reason that you don’t believe 2+2=5.”, is just as ridiculous. Because you have distanced yourself from God does not mean that others have as well. I know from personal experience that God does exist. If you believe me or not it does not matter to me. To me it is like teaching you that 2+2=4 and you will not believe it. I have experienced the equation that God has put forth to get to know him on a daily basis and I have a good relationship with Him. You can as well, but you are not willing to follow His equation, you want to follow your own.

  • Once again your ignorance saddens me. The constitution was made to help protect freedoms by limiting the federal government. The founding fathers continually warned that the freedoms protected by the constitution could be taken away by corrupt individuals. Federal powers were explicitly made broad/high level, because a person at the federal level has no idea what the needs, or wants are for the individuals in all areas. This is why power is given to the states because they are more aware of their peoples needs. This is also the reason that many states grant powers to their municipalities.

You in your ignorance and their arrogance think that a few persons governing the 300 + million can know the needs of the people rather than the local government. Again when I think of the possible future for my kids, because of ignorant people like you, it ****** me off.

  • @Lumbar

The lack of understanding expressed in your last statement makes me sad.
    1. We are not a democratic nation we are a republic. Do you not elect a representative?
    2. By saying, “The only difference will be that more people will be covered by health care insurance.”, is just ridiculous. You are saying that there is no change to any taxes? There is no change to the insurance system at all?

I cannot even believe that you think the only result is 30 million more people are insured. Blows my mind really. You truly are ignorant, or lying through your teeth to try and sound good in your argument. As I think of my kids possible future, because of people like you, that are either ignorant or lying through their teeth, it ****** me off.

  • This is the very reason why I do not support people like Ron Paul. You are wrong.

If you try to “eliminate” a “weapon” you think there will be no resistance? You will start a civil war that is not needed, if you just suddenly rip out the social programs. All the talk of “peace” from Ron Paul and his supporters and yet the things you desire will bring war to our own soil.

Thank you Cessna for your wisdom. Baby steps are needed.

  • @freedompurveyor – You need to start paying more attention to what Mitt says. He in fact did compare himself to Obama.

“In the general election I’ll be pointing out that the PRESIDENT took the reins at General Motors and Chrysler” (emphasis added)

He didn’t say the Govt took over. In his statement he is comparing the two people who had the authority to make the changes and the reason for making changes. Himself and the President and trying to save a business. I have no problems with him restructuring a business. I would have written off his attackers. The way he phrased this makes it sounds like he backs up what BO did and now I am even more hopeful he doesn’t make it.

  • @Cobrabill – People all have different experiences with different businesses. What is so great about America is that people are industrious and create other alternatives. They are not “off base”, because they had a different experience than you and would rather choose a different option.

I personally am sickened by the “paid” leadership of both the boy scouts and girl scouts. I will never donate to friends of scouting or buy girl scout cookies. Lets just hope this new organization’s leadership maintains its values and it does not become a bunch of high paid ****** taking the parents money.

  • They are not defending their waters, they are making a threat to create a blockade. Why the blockade? because we are going to cut off their central bank. Why are we threatening to cut off their central bank? Because they are lead by a crazy ass that wants nuclear technology to kill you. They are the antagonists here not the defenders.

  • While I have a hard time trusting anything Obama says if he sticks to his plan I actually agree with this. I believe in training people who want to defend their country.

You criticize the liberals for not standing up against this like they did bush. Where did you stand on the issue when war was declared on terror? What is different here?

If you want people to listen to the things that are really harming this country, you better stick up for right no matter who presents it.

  • Hey genius…just like I told the moron in the last post. Get your facts straight. He didn’t just send them off without congress. The bill was passed in 2010 to stabilize Uganda

  • That is far from violence. There is a big difference between a regulated fight and an unregulated fight.
