  • That’s it! I’m going for the biggest carbon footprint I can!!!!

  • I agree. While this woman and her family are in my prayers and handing out the wrong prescription is a BIG problem, you should never take anything without reading the entire label first. I don’t trust anyone enought to just pop something into my mouth without checking. “I came back and I looked at the bottle and it wasn’t my name,” she said. Right patient, right dosage, right medication, simple quick check and the potential tragedy would have been avoided.

  • In the LA Times article, Moore’s lawyer actually says something about “you can‘t just take money that isn’t yours” OMG, really???!!!!

    In reply to streetconcepts.

Next, everyone must wear mittens at all time to stop the formation of fingers that resembles a gun. Sorry, it may be warm, but it’s for your own safety.

  • Hit the wrong reply button, this was a follow up to my previous comment that health insurance and health care are two very different things.

  • and, quite honestly, I prefer the gov’t not tell me how to handle either one for myself and my family. I should be able to decide how much and what kind of insurance I want and I also should be able to decide how to handle my own health. And, if I choose not to take care of myself (like simplest fix to the most common problems today, diet and exercise!) then the consequences and costs are mine too! Can we legislate personal responsibility? We seem to be doing a great job at legislating victimhood.

  • And health insurance and health care are two very different things.

  • ok, edit bad fingers before hitting post. s/b first think, not thing Wouldn‘t not woldn’t and some OF these folks. Oops.

  • I’ve got to admit, I did first thing NANNY STATE craziness, but then…. it is my money they are spending and if you really need it, it woldn‘t and shouldn’t be on junk food. And if they are embarassed, fine. You‘re taking other people’s money and doing something stupid with it. If it takes embarrassment about not being able to buy a soda with your food stamps to make you really work at getting off them, so be it. Although, from what I‘ve seen in supermarkets and any other gov’t funded handout situations… it’s not easy to embarass some these folks. Entitlement says it all.

  • I was the subject of one of these letters once…. after I married, I was kind of slow on officially changing my name on everything. It took SS 10 years to notice my W2 name didn’t match the name they had on file for my ssn. Employer got the letter, notified me, and I made the change…. that was it, and my employer never followed up with me to see if I had corrected it. If Whitman had questioned the authenticity of the documents (and don’t you think the maid would have shown her the same forged ones at that time…..) wouldn’t that be considered a problem too (Racist!!!)
