  Blaze staff: Just a thought and off the subject of legalization: There are many people trying to kick the “pot” habit and seeing large close up pictures of marijuana can create cravings. It would be nice if conservative websites at least could take that into account when putting pics up on the website. Images are very powerful. Thank you.

  They already have complete control of your children at school. The most important responsbility in raising a child, after feeding and clothing, is educating them. Why would you give your children to the governement and trust them to educate them?

  I know that many people are not in the position to homeschool or private school their children, but if you are at all able, through sacrifice or whatever means you can find (sell a car, RV, get a 2nd job), I suggest removing your children from public school. I think it is the parents’ responsibility to assure their children have a good education. The public school is failing miserably and while the kettle is warming and our children are sitting in the pot, parents are arguing over whether the government should decide what kind of food their children should eat. They are controlling your children’s minds, and you worry about them controlling the food supply? If you give them your children, rest assured, the government will do more than control your children’s diets. Get your kids out of public school, do it yourself or pay someone else. Don’t rely on the government to educate or feed your kids.

  ProgressivesofAmerica – No black kids are going to prison for smoking/carrying a joint. They are going to prison for selling large quantities of illicit drugs. They are not victims. They are selling drugs for a living. Any white kids caught selling large quantities of illicit drugs also go to prison. Poverty and lack of job skills may play a role, but that doesn’t affect just black folks. Poor whites have the same problem. One of the biggest causes of poverty is divorce. Maybe we should focus more on keeping American families together instead of just legalizing the drug trade. According to your logic, just turn your back on the drug criminals, let them all alone to sell & use drugs and everyone will live in peace and harmony. Using this logic, we should also decriminalize prostitution, pornography, shop lifting, drunk driving, etc. Most of the people who get involved in these crimes are also poor. Being poor is no excuse to break the law and getting rid of the laws to protect the poor is nonsense.

  To compare Conservative Christian Americans to the Taliban is absolutely appalling and irrational. This is a calculated attempt to incite hate towards innocent Americans by their own countrymen. To disagree on issues is one thing, but to spew such lies and ignorance and hate is meant to divide and denigrate. Be careful how you respond. We are being provoked so they can sit back and wait for us to defend ourselves in a way they can use against us. Our defense is God Himself. We don’t have to do anything but stand behind the Almighty. We do not need to call people names, we don’t need to arm ourselves, we don’t need to fight and argue. We need to respond with prayer. Seriously, if you want to defeat this evil, the only way is to let God fight the battle. We just need to stand in the fire of the truth. It will set us free.
