  @ JACKERS and 229MICK, you BOTH missed it! he said the only time states rights matter in over gay marriage, what happened when the voters in California passed Prop 8 and made gay marriage illegal? The Federal courts stepped in and struck it down! so they don’t even care then.

  OK, I was raised by a CPA, and growing up my Dad and I had many discussions of economic and political issues. Socialism is NOT an economic system, it’s a political system. Capitalism is not a political system, its an economic sytem. Communism is an economic system that cannot function ( I don’t say thrive, because the only place that system EVER thrived was in the Book of Acts, voluntarily, among believers, which, incidentally Marx would have you DISbelieve). Communism requires Government ownership of all means of production and distribution, so it would NEVER even come close to working (not that it ever HAS really worked) in a Democratically elected Representative Republic. Capitalism can only thrive in a Democratically elected Representative Republic, where personal property rights are held inviolate. Let’s see, by adopting some aspects of free market capitalism, China has managed to break the cycle of famines that have killed millions of Chinese. By adopting some aspects of Socialism the United States has managed to kill much of the innovation and market dominance once held by the U.S. and driven much of our manufacturing sector overseas. You make the descions and vote accordingly in 2012. A man has to believe in something, I believe I’ll have another Rum and Coke! I hate to say it, but I think we may have seen the Rise and Fall of the American Empire!

  Call me a social libertarian if you must, but I have two points to make. There are two kinds of tyranny, the tyranny of the majority over the minority, and the tyranny of the minority over the majority. BOTH are equally wrong! Thomas Jefferson said “if it nether picks my pocket nor breaks my leg, I care not.” Whether two women or men choose to lay down together affects me not in the least, but if they start trying to demand that the rest of society accept their behavior as normal, and allow them to be legally married, THAT is something for the society to choose, and once they choose theb Feds need to back off and recognize that the People have spoken! Gay rights demonstrators harrassing little old ladies outside of churches and disrupting church services (both of which happened in CA after the passing of Prop. 8 are decidedly KKK/Nazi Brownshirt type tactics. To the LGBT community, I have this to say… the politicians and social progressives who support you also support the people who want the Muslims to be able to enact Sharia law within their own communities, and THEY want to stone you! Be careful who you get in bed (politically) with!

  @10thAmendment, I MOSTLY agree with you! My one difference with your suggestions are:
  IF the Federal Govt. were to enact a reciprocity law regarding healthcare insurance (i.e.: if you’re licenced to provide healthcare insurance in one state, you can provide healthcare insurance in ANY state) It would avoid the kind of situations like the one in Nebraska where they only have 2-3 comanies to choose from, and those companies supported Obamacare to maintain their lock on Nebraska (the Cornhusker Kickback) Free market competition is what will ultimately drive prices for healthcare insurance down! Corruption is present at the State level too! A State level limited monopoly is still a monopoly. If we allow any company to sell insurance in any State prices will fall!

  It‘s high time we filed a lawsuit against the DoJ on behalf of ’minorities’ everywhere! They are a racist organization promulgating the negative stereotypes that ‘minorities’ are too lazy to go down to the local DMV and/or too stupid to fill out the forms to get a simple state issued picture ID.

  Ok, people! THIS is what a second Obama term looks like! ALL those people who said they wished Trump were running will now run to him, leaving the GOP short of votes. The Paulbots will do what they always do and write in Ron Paul regardless, This is what happened in 19992 and I predicted it was going to happen when ‘The Donald’ started acting interested in politics (at least more interested than making large contributions to DEMOCRATS). If this traitor gets ANY traction, it will be the end of this country as our forefathers knew it. SHAME ON US FOR LETTING IT GET TO THIS POINT!

Or do they just spew hate and envy? Have they ever shared the ‘Good News’, or do they only spread the gospel of communist collectivism? Finally, is ANYONE ever going to call them on it?
