  • OK, can you please send me to the link where it shows the TEA Party members shouting racial slurs? Im sure someone has it on camera. The news media was all over that. Or was that simply make belief.

  • Jefferson, What the heck does this man pooping on a police car have to do with the MIAC report from 2009. I have seen homeless people go in bridges, behind pillars, behind buildings, but not on a police car. The act of going on a cop car is an act of protest. Was the homless man protesting the police? perhaps, but is most unlikely.

  • Hahahahahaaaaa… maybe he’s prairie doggin it!

  • Why on a police car if not protesting?

  • @TIFOSA
How much should revenue be raised. You could tax 100% of the top wage earners and not even put a dent in the yearly budget shortfall let alone begin to pay off any debt. S&P also mentioned the massive debt.

    Thanks D’s

  • @ ULYSSESP

Well said. I can think of a few sports stars that must be pure geniuses.

  • God wasn’t for stoning. He may have allowed it. Think of what Jesus said about marriage. God allowed divorce because man was weak. Stoning was the same scenario. It was of man not of God. Again, God said Thou shall NOT kill. He didn’t contradict himself.

  • Oh, one last comment before I sign off for the day. It’s almost midnight here.

God wants each of us to turn to him. He want us to love him. He is willing, through Jesus, to forgive us no matter what the sin. If Hitler begged for Gods forgiveness he would have gotten it. Even after what he did. Perhaps that’s why he lets bad things happen to good people.

Only the sick need to see a doctor. When bad things happen to Good people God is with them through it. They are his children who have secured their place in heaven. The bad person hasn’t. Perhaps God is giving then a chance to repent.

  • I see we left the scientific realm and entered the moral realm. OK. I’ll try here. Its tough because neither of us will persuade each other because here is where true faith comes to play. Science is the easy part. 2+2=4 and always will. Man + Woman = house of kids and man starts drinking from getting yelled at for leaving the toilet seat up…… But here goes.

Perhaps the sun exploding is the end of days that revelations speaks of, many things can happen before then. I don’t report to know Gods plan. If you read the book of Job, one of my favourites, we understand that we can not make one plant grow nor can we give life to anything. We can end life but we cannot create it. Who are we to ask why God allows an earthquake. The fact that it happens does not mean the people were bad. It just means it happened. Perhaps Satan was involved. Why did God allow it? Dont know. Why not ask him.

Hitler, and the others mentioned, were not of God. God gives us the right to choose. Unlike Hitler, God knows that you cannot force people to love you. Love must be given freely. God wants us to love him therefore we have freewill. Sometimes that freewill allows bad things to happen to good people. God never promised it would be easy, he only promised he would be there for us.

  • Yes, I am certain humans didn’t evolve, other than into smarter humans. If we did why didn’t any other species evolve in a parallel path. I used apes as an example, perhaps not the best example but one people relate to.

Also, again look at another probability. Evolution teaches that an amino acid and a protein meet and a single cell organism was created that split, and split again……..

Given the probability that the big bang happened by chance, and that the universe is expanding at the precise velocity, read Hawing’s books, and that these two compound’s met by chance. Well, probabilities tell us this could not happen by chance, so must surmise God was at work here.

Also, these two exact compounds came from that infinite mass that which is a singularity is hard for me to accept. I choose faith and I consider science my avenue to discover Gods works. Hawing is a philosopher who is very, very, good with math. He is not a scientist for science and religion are one in the same.
