  • I did a quick check of a half a dozen news web sites looking for other opinions on this story. I found zero. I admit it was a very quick check, so I could have missed it if it was in the small print or down at the bottom of the page.

Bottom line here is Cupp is the winner. Most folks won‘t ever even know about this and the average Hustler reader probably won’t even know who S.E. Cupp is. And Cupps’ audience is going to know this is a hustle (sorry!) and won’t pay any attention to it anyway.

  • (From the article): The USDA is currently developing tougher sanctions and penalties for retailers engaging in food stamp fraud.

Absolutely predictable. Let’s not question whether or not the program makes any sense. Let’s not question what part the Federal Government should play in feeding the citizenry. And for goodness sake let’s not question the Constitutionality of the USDA!

Let’s create some new laws aimed to curb human activity and, oh yeah, let’s hire a few thousand more agents and investigators so the new laws can be administered and enforced. When are enough going to wise up and vote the whole pack of them out of DC so we can get restarted?

  • Great idea! More laws, more regulations, and more taxes! Man I love being free!

    Sorry, no thanks partner.

  • Here’s proof that Americans are getting dumber as time passes.

The First Bank of the US was created in 1791 and ceased to exist in 1811. It only took 20 years to figure out it wasn’t working. In 1816 the Second Bank of the US was established. It ceased to exist in 1836 when it‘s 20 year charter wasn’t renewed by Congress.

The Third Bank of the US (The Federal Reserve) was created in 1913. It’s been 99 years and counting and not only are they still around they are almost completely unregulated and unchallenged. And we (the voters) continue, for the most part, to elect the same legislators and leaders who allow this to happen. How smart are we?

  • Webster’s Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary:
Reproduction: 1 The act or process of reproducing specif the process by which plants and animals give rise to offspring and which fundamentally consists of the segregation of a portion of the parental body by a sexual or asexual process and it’s subsequent growth and differentiation into a new individual.
Reproductive: relating to, capable of, or concerned with reproduction.
Health: 1 The condition of being sound in body, mind or soul: esp freedom from physical disease or pain.

According to the information that I can find in 2009 PP received $1.64M for over 300,000 abortions. About 15% of their total revenue. Looking at the above definitions how does that equate to reproductive health? Am I the only one that’s confused? Peace.

  • What really has to happen is the Federal Government has to brought down to the size prescribed by the Constitution. Once all of these unConstitutional agencies/bureaus/departments are eliminated and the tax dollars no longer flow to the Federal Government the states can then settle petty beefs like this one for themselves.

As long as the Federal Government has the taxing authority that we (voters and non-voters alike) have allowed them these sorts of things are going to continue. Follow the money….. and ask yourself what they could do if they didn’t have it. Peace.

  • @Miami
By no means do I agree with Roseann, but if you’re going to call someone a moron you should really try to spell the word correctly. Seriously.

  • Agreed. Two terms for Senators. Three terms for Representatives. In addition I would like to see:
~ No pensions for elected officials. (They won’t be there long enough to “retire”)
~ An air tight balanced budget amendment with a fixed portion of revenues committed deficit
    reduction.
~ Repeal all current campaign finance reform. They only “reformed” public access to the information.
~ Complete and regular disclosure of every dollar raised for every campaign.

But my biggest wish is that we had a strong viable third party in our Republic. I would love to see Bachmann, Paul (the elder), Palin, Paul (the son), Rubio, MItch Daniels, Coburn, Nikki Haley, Steve King, Gary Johnson, DeMint, and a handful of others to break away from the R’s and shake things up. We’re too far along in this election cycle for it to happen now, but what a Christmas present it would be if they did it right after the election.

There is very little difference between the establishment (ruling) faction of either of our current parties. Personally I’m sick of the sham that we voters have any REAL choice most of the time.

  • A ray of sunshine from the usually corrupt and effete Federal Court System. A judge that has the audacity to follow judicial precedent? How refreshing!

  • @Bryan B
I hope you are kidding. Fine activities between mutually consenting adults? Create additional revenue streams for the government, be it local, state, or federal? That is your view for the future of America? Again, I hope you are kidding because I would prefer restoring more freedom, like the ones that have been treated as Constitutional suggestions, for ALL citizens and much, much less revenue for any part to our governments. Peace.
