  Just a suggestion, why don’t they storm the office of Immigration & Naturalization and become Citizens? Amnesty is not the answer, just talk to any Governor. It is not the Federal Government that bears the brunt of the cost or the crime. There is no incentive to stop a 15 billion industry to Mexico and yea they pay taxes if they buy a bigmac.   If you haven’t seen it all, let me get this right, our government want to reach out to an organization who openly has voiced the TOTAL DISTRCTION OF ISREAL and to impose the totality of the Islamic way of life, Sharia law to entire Middle East.   I guess NBC is practicing for election time. You just don’t edit out the words “Under God” accidentally! This was no mistake and was intentional! Just wait and see what is edited out of anybody’s speech in 2012 that runs against Obummer. In our schools they are fundamentally changing the way our children think. We can now read Carl Marks and Stalin, but don’t you dare touch a bible. Oh yea, Sam Adams is a beer. ACLU wants to remove all references to God; crosses form cemeteries because it might offend someone, or even the American Flag. Heck, I didn’t know it was still legal to say the pledge at public sporting events. If media outlets can not respect the principals that founded our Nation and we believe in, then they should not be in existence! People decide who will be on the airways. Just like Air America, they will not exist. Call, email or write them and let them know!

  Maybe we ought to get out of the UN if the Security Council looses this kind of money. Somebody had to sign for this kind of cash, go figure, who was the last person to have it. With Obummer, OH Well, its only 6.6 billion. They spend that in a day & half. A comedian once said,” The UN Building would make nice Affordable Housing.”

  It was not until August 3rd, 1949 that the President of the United States signed Public Law 203, designating June 14th as Flag Day. Thus our Order was not only the first fraternal organization to celebrate Flag Day, but had made this ceremony mandatory long years before the date on which the observance became a nation-wide practice by legal decree.
  The ritual for the occasion is an elaborate one and it is quite generally conducted as a public ceremonial. It is designed to be informative as well as inspirational; and the colorful pageantry provided lends itself admirably to the achievement of these objectives. It was President Harry S. Truman who signed the Flag Day bill into law on August 3rd, 1949, who was himself an Elk.

  It is to be expected that an organization dedicated to patriotic service should seek to promote a proper knowledge of, and respect for, the American Flag, and all that it represents. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has done this in many ways. Perhaps the most effective of its prescri…bed activities is the Flag Day Service. Each Subordinate Lodge is required to conduct this service annually on June l4th, the anniversary of the birth of the American Flag.
  The idea of a Flag Day Service was first suggested to our Order by the then Grand Exalted Ruler at the 1907 Grand Lodge Session in Philadelphia. Of the dates submitted for consideration at that time, June 14th was adopted by the session and was called “Elks Flag Day.” The following year, in Dallas, the Grand Lodge approved a ritual for the Flag Day ceremony.
  The 1911 Grand Lodge Session at Atlantic City made the observance of Flag Day mandatory for Subordinate Lodges by the adoption of Section 229 of the Statutes: “It shall be the duty of each Subordinate Lodge to hold the service known as ”Flag Day Services” at the time and in the manner prescribed by the ritual of the Order.
  Later on – at the Grand Lodge Session in Atlantic City in 1930 – there was added to this statute an amendment, reading: “The Grand Exalted Ruler may, in exceptional cases and for good cause, grant a dispensation for a different day or to any two or more Lodges to hold such services jointly.”

  If you are wondering what direction the party or even our government should be heading, it is very simple! WE THE PEOPLE have bestowed on you a timeless oath that every Congressman takes at the time of being sworn into office, “To Support and Defend the Constitution of United States of America”. Of late, it has one way or another fallen by the way side by corruption, bribery and petty party bickering.

  It all makes perfect sense now why the media has engaged in an enormous amount of time and effort on Sarah Palin, trying to convince the American public that she would not make a good President. They are scared to death of this lady. Common sense demonstrates the reasons for millions of hours and dollars for this relentless media smear campaign. They have something to fear!
