  Is Glenn running out of stuff to frighten people over? This is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Millions of cars have OnStar, the data collected is used for trending, traffic and pattern analysis, so what? Do most people really think that a company or government agency wants to know where and when YOU specifically go? No, and to do so legally requires a warrant, not to mention would require thousands of data analysts to track and target people specifically. Not saying don‘t pay attention to what the gov’t can do to infringe on our rights, but there’s no reason to become hysterical about it. Know what the capability is, understand how it is used, and be vigilant for abuses. No need to be so paranoid.

  Do we really need another wedge issue to pit taxpayers against each other?

  Statistics, lies and dammed lies. These hit pieces on public employees never fully explain the differences between the education and unique requirements of public employees versus the wide array of private employees. You cannot compare the two groups with any certain results without allowing for a myriad of caveats and exceptions. You have to evaluate the differences based on similar roles, for example engineers are a type very often underpaid public employees versus their private counterparts. Compare administrative staff, very often also underpaid in the public sector. You cannot compare a conveinient store clerk’s wages with a public scientist and call the result unfair.

  Stop being a victim of your fellow man and getting angry with Mr. Jones earning a higher salary. Put your energy into earning the things YOU desire and standing with those who desire a representative government that ensures an equal _opportunity_ and not equal _outcome_. Suspect the motivations behind anyone or anything that try to convince you you are being taken advantage of or partitioned into groups to fight for us against them.

  Wasn’t personally offended by the ad, but still found it incredibly disprespectful. Just because you have a right to say something, doesn’t make it alright to say.
