  • Daniel Greenfield posted a very astute article last week on the liberal use of the word “racism”. These days it has nothing to do with “race”. Nor have the terms “human rights”, “genocide”, and others retained their meanings, but are now part of the liberal push towards a collectivist Orwellian world.

  • And they think that there is no elite micromanaging their lives? No bosses? I suppose that a politboro micromanaging not only prices but everyone’s lives is not a “boss”? It’s amazing to me also that those who call for freedom for the “oppressed masses” never actually consider THEMSELVES to be part of their beloved masses.

None of these communist wanna-bes have actually lived under such rule, and it is breathtaking to see how naive and gullible is half the Western public. McCarthy WAS correct. Utopia is actually hell – ask anyone who has survived the communist experiments and got out.

  • What a complete bunch of crap. I have been in Jerusalem all month and except for one day just after the Eilat terrorist attacks there was no discernible security activity in and around Jerusalem. The State Department is looking very much like an entity which in 1930′s Germany took more and more control of the thoughts of its minions – non-threatening at first and then more and more blatant.

Yes, Ramadan is on and Beck’s party took that into account and showed respect for Islamic sensitivities, and as it turned out, the event was a success, although noticeable ignored by the US administration.

Disgusting. Especially since every one of the administration’s speech reaffirms their unshakeable friendship with Israel, and predictable every subsequent action proves the exact opposite.

  • What is your problem with Israel’s very measured and disproportionately tolerant attitude? Military is not the Boy Scouts. Have you no idea what for example years of terror rockets do to populations? If 1,000 ‘peaceful’ invaders walked into your home would you have no problem with it? Are you OK with any old border just to be stormed by whoever, most of whom would just as soon kill you?

Really, I think that if you have a problem with Israel’s response to incessant attacks against her, you know nothing about her neighbors. Learn about the Arab/Muslim culture, and let me know how you feel about THEIR tactics, and especially their INTENT.

It amazes me how difficult it is for people to discern good from evil. I believe in peace and dignity for all, but this really stinks. If human rights don’t exist for all, then human rights don’t exist. The Left has turned the idea into a farce.

  • And the anti-Israel Left seems to have a problem discerning where the is the evil in this whole mess!

  • Let’s reaffirm who we are, reaffirm the egalitarian intent of our laws, reaffirm what our freedoms really mean, and what are there limits, eliminate lawfare which abuses these very laws, subverts them into any radical political agenda desired.

Unless we redefine and stand for our values we are lost. Time for an Oath of Allegiance, and fifth columnists can be shown the border.

This applies to all Western democracies.

  • Awesome work Glenn. Most of us don’t have such a soapbox but many of us are taking every opportunity during daily life to convey the same message.

Come to think of it, here in Canada, home of the “Gaza boat” but also home of Stephen Harper, among my friends and daily contacts, my own little captive audiences, I feel like I am the only small voice trying to motivate people to wake up. I can’t remember anyone in recent memory bringing up this message, the same one Glenn is so effectively bringing to light. It really is off the radar here in cloistered secure Canada, where not much ever happens. I am sure that many of them think that I am eccentric, and maybe so, but why do I see things that few others can?

Like Glenn says, go visit Israel. I had the privilege of touring the country for a few weeks in 2007, I have developed connections there, I have studied the cultures, history, religions and geography of the region and believe me, it takes commitment and not a little passion for these subjects. But it’s so important. Learn about honor-based vs guilt-based cultures, Islam, Judeo-Christian scripture, what is coming out of the Arab world (like PMW for example), and read, read, read, and travel.

And please support brave Israel. Their future is our future.

I do believe that very soon we will be forced to wake up and I really feel that it will be too late when we finally do.

In the meantime, everyone keep encouraging others to learn and do the RIGHT thing.

  • In American law an unlawful enemy combatant has NO RIGHTS of due process. Remember the LAW?

Therefore bin Laden is now been-Laden.

All this hand-wringing that he should be dealt “justice” by due process are part of the problem.
