I don’t know if I am the only one who has read Love Wins or not, but why is this notion so strange? Rob Bell simply asks the reader to question their own beliefs on topics such as hell. Is it that far fetched that a God who loves us so much gave us his only son to die for us so we don’t have to. If you do believe that, then how can you be certain that the only way his death counts for you is if you say a certain prayer? The bible was not written in English it was translated to English, and every time Jesus spoke of hell he used a a proper name. This proper name of a place was translated to the word hell later. That proper name was for a dump on the south side of Jerusalem. He never used any other Hebrew words that would translate to what Hell means in the western society.
