  What gets me is they don’t practice what they preach by USING the very products created by capitalism. Cell phones, iPads, computers – even the very tents they sleep in. NONE would be around without those capitalists who built the factories, produced jobs to make them. If it wouldn’t be against the law they should be parading the streets naked in freezing temperatures to stand against capitalism.

  I was taught that what happened behind closed doors was no one’s business but your own, so why the need to publicly announce that one is gay and “need” special “civil rights?”

  Yeah, yeah, I know such has “legal” purposes as far as taxes and insurance, but, hey, you can’t always have the icing with the cake. If you’re gay, so be it. Accept the consequences.

  And, no, I am NOT bias. I have gay friends and have debated the issue with them. And, you know what? They DON’T go crying about their rights being jeopardized.

  Fluke did not bring it up as a “sexual” issue, but, one of health concerns (ovarian cists, etc.) to where even I was prescribed “the pill” to counter a cist from growing in my ovary. However, I found Fluke’s plea not worthy of defending the “contraceptive” issue. There are warning signs on the packets that admit the “pill” can cause cancer.

  As far as the pity party (playing a violin here) for the woman who is now facing early menopause because she couldn’t afford the prescription for birth control, just be GLAD they removed the cyst and ovary BEFORE it became cancerous.

  Women have TWO ovaries, not just one.

  I am not cold hearted – I know the pain of ovarian cysts, but, there ARE other ways, other than birth control pills, that can help.

  No religious doctrines that I know of contradicts our nation’s laws as much as the Muslims and their doctrine of Sharia Laws.

  Once converted to Islam you lose your freedom and face death if you decide the Islam faith is not for you.

  Women and children are beaten if they disobey Shariah laws – and those laws are extreme.

  Who would want to join the Islam faith under those conditions?

  It’s the old double standard of the left, who are blind as bats thinking we can get the Islam extremists to act rationally towards us if we just keep appeasing them. They HATE capitalism and any “free” nation, period, and they WANT to rule the world and bring ALL under Sharia Law.

  Trouble is the war in Iraq instigated even MORE hate from them. Yes, they managed to complete a huge act of terrorism on 9/11/2001, but, I wonder where we would be now if we had NOT gone to Afghanistan or Iraq when we did?

  Some say at least the “wars” were carried out on THEIR lands and keeping them from invading US. I think we jumped the gun after the 9/11 attack. Granted is WAS a great wake-up call to focus on SECURING our nation better by building our troops at home and not going over there.

  Look where our military / defense is now. We are so thinly spread out and it’s costing so much that we barely have enough troops at home. We can’t even secure our borders from illegal entry! And, when you SEE who is coming through our borders (it’s not ONLY Mexicans), and “infiltrating” what do you think is going to happen?

  Our governments can declare “Martial Law,” and, I think that power goes for any state or national concern. And, PLEASE, tell me if I am wrong. I keep having these dreams where there won’t BE a 2012 election; that these OWS will get violent to the point where Marshal Law is called, and those in the BO Administration will take over the country, making it a socialist / marxist nation.

  I am a person of principle and, if I was the victim I would appeal the case to a higher court based on bias of the judge.

  No offense – to do something like that – dressing as a Muslim Zombie is disgusting – but, hey, OUR country is a melting pot of cultures and ALL citizens are given the freedom to express, as long as what we say and how we express does no bodily harm to another.

  This was a case of assault. The victim did nothing but parade himself in a costume on Halloween night. The defendant had no right to assault the victim.

  What America needs to do is make it known to immigrants that once they enter OUR nation they must learn and heed to the laws of THIS Nation.

  That‘s what’s wrong with Muslims. They think THEIR laws of their faith supersede ALL laws of the land.

  I wonder what that judge would have done if the victim was killed by the defendant?

  Ok, I’m a smoker. And, just now I lit a cigarette just to see for myself “where” the smoke goes and how far. Right from the end of the cigarette the smoke goes UP – not out towards anything. Second, depending on how strong the wind pipes are I can’t see the smoke being “blown” more than three feet in any direction before it, too, goes UP. Cigarette smoke is lighter than air, period. It’s just the “smell” that can “bother” people out doors, nothing else.

  Note, too, that I am VERY respectful to non-smokers, in that I will always be mannerly and smoke only when they are not around or are reasonably far away from me.

  I respect non-smoker’s wishes. They should respect mine.

  I actually SENSE something is “cooking” and hope to hell it’s just my over-active imagination.

  I mean, who’s behind this OWS and why are they only cracking down now, after they started their illegal tent cities months ago? Look what’s happening! Riots, killing, rape. Will the OWS be there in November to disrupt the voting process to the point where the great O calls Martial Law so he can take over the country?

  I am amazed at the different directions these comments are going, lol.

  I downright love West’s humor and I admire his guts to be honest and say what he believes. I may not always be “in sinct” with everything he believes but, I don’t let it anger me or upset me.

  I definitely believe we need to vote out all the trash in our government and clean up the mess BOTH parties created. I’m not Republican, Democrat OR Libertarian. I am a citizen of the United States who BELIEVES in the Constitution and that only ONE “Amendment” added since 1912 is constitutional, but, even that “situation” would have “disapated” eventually – the Civil Rights Acts, as today ALL men ARE considered equal.

  I don‘t think West’s statement to leave religion at the door meant that all those elected should disregard their personal faiths, but to keep the PRINCIPLES of our Constitution in a way that does not hinder the freedom of faith.

  I DO think it a bit comical to watch grown men and women act like children when someone “says” something true or take things as offense when another “speaks their piece,” lol.
