  In my career in law enforcement it has sometimes been necessary to play a character in order to extract the truth and bring the facts to light. The Supreme Court has upheld this tactic is acceptable when dealing with nefarious characters and to ferret out the truth. This same thing applies to my service in Afghanistan in dealing with the locals to get the information that we need for safety and security. Sometimes there are measures that must be taken placing you on a similar plane as the nefarious character in order to protect and secure our country. It is naive to think otherwise.
