  FEMA camps??? Get real, that bs rumor has been around sense the 80s. I have spent over 20 years driving all over the country and never found any thing like that. And I have been to a lot of out of the way places over the years. Besides some one would have had to haul the material and equipment to build them. I spent 10 years with a gov contractor, with the security clearance going back to my years as a Marine, I would have probably have gotten to haul some of that if they existed

  This wildlife officer is a idiot. She should be fired, forced to pay the fine here self, along with all court cost and the cost of dragging the trooper out to write the ticket. Then pay the family there cost and about 100 grand pain and suffering for the stress. and it all has to come out of her pocket, not the tax payers

  sooner12, the .06 a gallon is the refiners profit. there are many levels that make up the gas price. the largest profit is the well owners. there profit run from about 10% for US offshore wells to 200% for OPEC wells. As far as taxes go, the brake down per gal is; .25 fed, .15- .36 state then county and city sales tax. and that is just the direct tax on fuel. The oil co also has to pay royalties, severance tax reclamation tax to both state and the feds just to name a few in the domestic oil they produce .

  The fair tax is the best. But there should be some exemptions, like flea markets, yard sales, and places like the Good Will that will allow the poorest to avoid some of the tax on necessities.
