  The benefit of a republic is that it prevents mob mentality from taking hold of our government. Hordes of uneducated voters (and non-voters) cast votes based on an illusion created by the media; a republic’s electoral process allows for cooler heads to prevail.

  Perhaps you should try reading instead of regurgitating what the corrupt media is propagating. If you did you would know what Dr. Paul has actually said in his books and you won’t have to make assumptions. And if you did further research you would know that he returns a good portion of his salary every year back to the people (the government). Do you know any politicians who returns their salary because they think it is excessive? I didn’t think so

  The Great Depression took 10 years to get out of because of FDR’s self-destructive, welfare generating policies–the same type of policies that are destroying the fabric of today’s society and our individual sovereignty. These policies are getting corrupt politicians elected and making a growing portion of society dependent on the government.
