  • Uh, listen to any of the old “traditional” hymns…look at the dates of composition and then find secular music written at the same time. Hymns written in the 1890s sound like ragtime music…. etc…. It was all contemporary music written to appeal to people at the time it was written. Folks 40 years from now, Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, and the Newsboys will be considered the old “traditional” hymns. I am not aware that any of the music used in Church is specially “inspired” by the Holy Spirit in the same sense that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Perhaps a simple listening to ‘contemporary’ worship music might be worth a moment of time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yubLGTOcm8c or here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZFN8TBfgNU&feature=related

  • uhhhhh Mr. President, when government promises to take care of people from cradle (providing of course you haven’t been aborted at government expense first) to grave (that is until the life-years equation turns against you) by taking away from the productive, when failing businesses that are riddled with losses and expenses beyond their ability to pay but are judged “too big to fail” by government, when other “businesses” that produce nothing of value to the consumer are “loaned” money (it‘s not the government’s money because it comes out of our pocketbooks on April 15) because of either stupid bureaucratic decisions or the corruption of elected and appointed officials…..of course folk quit being “hungry” and get lazy. Get government out of people’s lives, businesses and our pocketbooks and we‘d quit being lazy or we’d get real hungry and then quit being lazy. By the way, God only asks for 10% of the money He gives us back, you’d think government could do with something less than that since they are just begging anyway.

  • sure let us know ‘what went down’
