  • Imagine if that many people would have come forth to adopt the other dogs before they were euthanized, they would have been saved too.
Imagine if that many people came forth to adopt the many hundreds of viable babies that are killed every day? It’s possible that abortion clinics would be a thing of the past. Who in their right mind would intentionally kill a tiny, helpless baby boy or girl already knowing that there was a prospective family waiting…unless they just didn’t care!
About 12 years ago, or more, close to a million dollars was spent (squandered, one could say), over a two week period one winter, just to save a whale that got trapped in some very small open area in an ice flow on the west coast way up north. The story naturally tugged at everyone’s heart strings (until it was finally led to freedom in open water), since no one wanted to see the poor thing die from starvation (including myself), but there comes a time when priorities have to be applied to a situation to see if it is cost efficient or not.
That was just ONE whale that was being saved (and perhaps rightly so), yet we hear about the thousands of infants being aborted alive DAILY (with procedures so inhumane that it would grieve even the most hard-hearted), and it doesn’t even make the news. The RTL agencies involved with saving these precious lives have to almost beg for funds just to stay open. What’s wrong with this picture?
I love animals but do we have our priorities mix

  • I don’t know if this is true or not but there might be another reason this is being done. They might need to have all systems ‘down’ for a time to make the necessary adjustments or additions to add certain features that all the broadcast frequencies need for future takeover or pre-emptive action of the airwaves (announcements, blackouts, etc.). This might not be possible when any (or all), of the communication systems are running at the same time. If you have ever heard this (or any other previous), President’s live messages, you will note that even though they are talking on maybe 5 or 10 TV channels at one time (depending on those who choose to broadcast it), there are ALWAYS some that still continue with the normal broadcast programs (soaps, game shows, movies, etc.). Maybe this downtime coming next month will allow ALL the channels (radio, TV, etc.), to be taken over at one time so everyone can hear what is being announced by the powers that be….like maybe martial law being invoked. Just a thought!!

  • I tend to agree with Bro Geo Too. If we drive our cars at night in the country without OUR lights on, we pose a hazard for other drivers (or pedestrians or animals), plus also run the risk of getting stopped or ticketed, plus not being able to really see clearly ahead of us at highway speeds. I would feel terrible running into the back of an unmarked buggy if they didn’t have some sort of warning device on the back (besides the battery operated tail lights which are not that visible until you get fairly close).

The Amish men involved in this are, apparently, not giving any consideration to not only the passengers in THEIR vehicle (and THEIR safety), but also others who are driving cars behind them. I’m not sure if the Amish pay for any license plates or stickers to be on the road legally either? If not, they should be glad that they are being given the right to use the roads that all of us other drivers have to pay for every year and getting a stupid orange triangle (that they can take off and put on at will, when needed–if they feel THAT self-conscience about it), is about the least thing they could do to assure everyone’s safety. If they want to be technical about it, even the tail lights are bright colors also (red), so why don’t they protest those as well? Or is that next?

I wonder how these men have been running around all these years before this, though, without these orange markers on the back? Is this something that just came to someone’s attention

  • @JAYCEN…I don’t guy, I have read that statement a few times (in the article), and it seems that the newspaper (Deutsche Welle), might be leaning more left than what you think because it almost sounded like they were talking about the demonstrators and NOT the Neo-Nazi’s (that were marching), that were being called Left-Wing extremists. They said some of the demonstrators (about 1500 of them), were the ones who were trying to break through to get to the marchers. That sounds kind of scary when the good guys are being labeled as Left Wing Extremists. What does that make the Neo-Nazis?

  • @goodart1…..”and preach loud enough for our opposition to hear.” I‘m wondering just WHO this ’opposition’ is? Is it US or is it them? Patting Daryl on the back like you do, I wonder who‘s side you’re on?. OK, I understand what you are saying about the kindness factor, but she doesn‘t seem to look at the whole picture and getting all the ’atta boys, and high 5′s (from her supporters, I suppose), doesn’t change the facts that we NEED CO2 here on earth for the plants and trees, as they consume it and give off a poison (to them), called Oxygen, which WE need to live. If the earth is 3/4 or more covered with water, then it might be safe to say that the CO2 level that the sea gives off 24/7, must be nothing short of astronomical, so how in the world could it be that man is contributing to the earths demise by the meager amounts of things we use (comparatively speaking), that is now SUDDENLY (and supposedly), bringing this planet to its knees? This whole thing just sounds like another one of the doors that is leading to population control. If using fossil fuels is as bad as they claim, then we should have started to see some of the serious ill effects of its use long before this, as the plastics that were made years ago, were MUCH more crude than what we have today. And there is even a system now (I have seen it), that will convert recycled plastic BACK into oil again, to be used for lubrication or whatever. I’m sure fossil fuels and coal will be here for quite

  • @ bikerr….”You also can’t legislate IM-morality”— Don’t understand that because it is being done all the time by our politicians. How do you think we got Roe V Wade and the killing of millions of babies? How did we get the legislation that allows 2 men or 2 women to get married to each other? What about forbidding the reading of the Bible in school or the hanging of the 10 commandments in a hallway? How about income tax or the nearly bankrupt SS system (from corruption and stealing)? Then there are judges that slap a wrist or let a person off with hardly any punishment at all, if they are told to by those above them. In a fallen world (and until common sense prevails or the Lord returns), the only thing we CAN count on…. is, unfortunately, more IM-morral laws.

  • What a way to insure future votes…at our expense too!! If he is counting on just these, then he might have something to worry about, but I don’t think he is very concerned. I think he is trying to rile us up, to get us to riot and protest so he can declare his Marshall Law and in the meantime he is slowly closing doors of escape all around us (and few notice). He is not a dumb as some make him out to be. He knows what he’s doing. Watch for the plans to escalate between now and 2012.

  • Couldn’t agree more. A social, nicey-nice, watered down, don’t offend anyone, Gospel just doesn’t cut it…never has!. A person can think ‘positive’ thoughts all day long and still be lost if they don’t know the truth…and the truth is not necessarily found in ‘positive thinking’. Faith is the substance of things hoped for…the evidence of things not seen—now THAT‘S positive ’confession’! I guess the Crystal Cathedral, besides having money and managerial problems, ran out of things to think positively on.

  • Forget about the ‘re-election’. If the country gets to the point that he wants it to be (total chaos, riots, food shortages, housing crisis, no jobs, etc), then he can declare Marshall Law which will tie up the US for a loooong time…AND….cancel the elections until such time that BHO decides it’s OK to call off the military (and who knows when that might be)?. He only has about 1 1/2 years to get that accomplished, so hang onto your hat. And keep storing that food! That‘s what we’re doing too! We may have to help feed some of the dolts who are living like the grasshoppers now.

  • Like I mentioned to someone else, I don’t think he cares WHERE his ratings are…they can go down to 3% for all he cares. He is still in control and has his pen in hand and the microphone in front of him so that’s all he cares about. As the ratings go down, the pressure and the anti-American polices on the citizens will go up. They are inversely proportionate to one another. But I don’t think we are getting the TRUE ratings anyway as they are mostly controlled by a liberal media. It must kill them to say that the un-employment is 9.1 %, but that is probably better than telling it like it is….like maybe 17+% when you consider all the people who have just given up looking, who are living in the streets, who are living with someone else now (as they lost their home or apartment), or who might be only working a few hours a week at a part time job. But, of course, if the nature and purpose of your administration is to bring the country to its knees, then it’s fairly obvious that things are sort of going along as planned. I think the worse is still ahead of us.
