  I have a 29 year old granddaughter that was born disabled. (white) It took us 26 years of fighting with the government to get her on SSI disablity. Every alcoholic we knew was on SSI because of it. And the list of ‘shouldn’t be‘s’ goes on and on. I told you this to tell you this…my daughter controls my granddaughter’s money (approx. 700 a month) because of granddaughter likes beer. Bills have to be paid. When we take her to get food with her EBT, that is why WE separate what she gets…we pay for it with OUR money, not hers. This is called personal responsibility. Those welfare queens have NO personal responsibility. Raised that way. We have near us, the 6th generation of one family living on public assistance. Common among blacks, and become so with white trash. Before I run out of word count…at one of my local grocery chains, I witnessed this, a 40ish black, obese woman with four carts of groceries. Paid with EBT. I asked the cashier was she allowed to tell me the amount of her ebt card. She says “you mean CARDS. She had four totally over a thousand dollars”. HERS now, not hers and others she may have been to get them food. That underscores the problem with meth/crack addicts selling their EBTs for drug/alcohol/tobacco/gambling habits. Yes, we need to do drug screening on everyone on public assistance and put an end to this wasteful, costly scam. Every 13 years one family can add another future welfare queen. Gotta stop the nonsense.

  How do you know it’s easy? When did you die? Don’t bring politics into yet another personal and private life situation. Very demeaning to that man and his family. I am not now, have never been, nor will I ever be, a liberal but my life is my life, not yours, and I think one should be able to make any and all life altering decision themselves, not a religious freak, or the government.   Interesting you posters your lack of understanding and compassion for a dying man. :First do no harm’. If you’re going to use that, use it in the context for which it was intended. It does not apply to an 83 year old man suffering from a terminal illness. The doctor who wrote the prescription did not harm. His knowledge and compassion wrote the prescription. As one who has held 3 loved ones when they took their last breath, after months of pain and mental anquish, compared to holding my beloved pets that had to be euthanized, I wish the same could have been for my suffering loved ones. (My Mother with ALS, my brother with Pancreatic cancer, my beloved cousin with Ovarian cancer.) How dare you call this elderly man a coward. To you religious ones, do you not know the Bible says ‘A time to reap…a time to sow, a time to live, a time to die’? Your coming and going is in his hands, his plan. When my brother was first diagnosed and starting chemo, he ask me if I thought he could beat the cancer. I told him that I was praying he would but it was left up to our Master. If it is not your time to go, you will. But if it’s your time, no medicine, no man alive, will stop Gods will. Had a friend shot himself right between the eyes.   Running late on this one, hoping someone reads this. Georgian and a voter. Conservative. This woman was responding to something of which you know nothing of, unless you are a Georgian also. Her esteemed opponent comes out last week with a statement that the state has funded over 300k of tax payer monies for abortions for state employees. Not once did he mention that these same employees PAY for their insurance. I also wrote him a sharp response. Maybe this lady went about it all wrong but the gist of the retort is the same as mine with this exception. I wanted to know how many Viagra and other male enchancements, were paid for and if you gonna limit one, limit them all. Come on people. Deny it all you wish, but abortion is only an issue for religious peeps. You believe whole-heartedly that life begins at conception because The Bible and religious leaders tells you so. I’m a spiritualist and rely on the brain my Maker sent me here with. And all my church learning, book learning, life learning, soul searching, has formed my thoughts on when life begins. Doesn’t it sound even remotely possible to you that if you die with that last breath and the soul leaves the body, that soul-life doesn’t begin until you are born and take that first breath? And do you believe that two souls can occupy the same body? You’d have to to believe that a fetus has a soul. My Maker ain’t gonna send a soul into a non viable body. What would be the point?

  See how easy it is to incite the passion of so-called pious people? I am with you on this. It’s called pro-choice. My life- my body- my decision. Only our Maker has the Power to judge if we are right or wrong, and deal with us accordingly. I’m not and never will be, affiliated with any man made religion. I am a spiritual being, knowing from where I came and where I shall return. Those who oppose abortion are surely not spiritual, only religious. For if they were spiritual, they would understand that two souls cannot abide in the same body. Each of us are seperate souls housed in this earthly body for our time here. Does it not make sense to everyone that if the soul leaves the body upon death and that last breath, the it quite possible does not enter the body until birth and that first breath? I was pregnant four times and gave birth to four children, abortion wasn’t an option to me as my children were wanted. But I thank the law (roe v wade) that gives every female that option. Who am I to tell another human being what they can or cannot do, espicially with their own body, their on life?? I am also a science/biology earth based individual as well. Pregnancy is a biological event in human existance. So, you, Balthazor, prison? Really? Shall we imprison The Powers that be for all those miscarriages? Act of God or biological?
