  Why should it go to a grand jury? The castle doctrine is the law of the land in Texas and he was in his castle and on his castle grounds. He should be up for an award. It is pitiful that kids would be so stupid and arrogant as to think it is okay to kick in someone’s door. Based on the story presented, the homeowner had no idea what the youths were up to. We know that teens routinely steal, rape, beat, rob, and assault. If they had been selling cookies, they would not have kicked in the door.

  Where are the 1% who can afford to fight this little hater and the ACLU? There has to be someone, somewhere, with enough money to fight this crap. It‘s getting to where a coach can’t even say a prayer before a football game. My kid’s school still allows prayer before games and still celebrates Christmas. Unfortunately, not many of us have enough money to fight the deep pockets of the haters. I give money every week at church. Where are the churches and the mega pastors on issues like this? $500k would be a small “donation” if a few of the mega churches got together to fight these things.

  It’s sad when someone obviously seeking attention has to change something that the rest of her school obviously was okay with. It wasn’t hurting anything and even if there was no God, the ideas put forth on that banner were positive…

  When will it end? When we worship the state or science or nothing?

  why are those cops still on the job? A border patrol agent was convicted for less than these brutes did. They should be fired and brought up on charges. Just because they are the “cops” they shouldn’t be treating civilians this way. I am all for beating up the bad guys if the situation warrants it but this is getting out of control and more and more common. Until they beat up someone “important”, nothing will be done about it.

  The glitter bombers should be arrested. What’s the difference between throwing glitter or throwing something caustic? Glitter can get in the eyes, be breathed in, etc. It is still an attack, whether they throw feathers or rocks, it is still a threatening gesture.

  It will escalate until these rats are dealt with. Since when is it okay to do things like that? Would Romney be okay, then, to throw something back?
  Another poster asked where security is? What if it was Obama being glitter bombed? Wouldn’t be as funny to some of you.
