  NO!! The internet and cell phones and ANY other electronic media will NOT be affected…ONLY OVER THE AIR BROADCAST Stations (and NOT all of them; LowPower FMs, LPFMs, do NOT have to carry it as they are not required to do so under Part 11 rules) and cable systems, which are covered by Part 11 rules for EAS, will be affected…NOTHING ELSE!! Your sat rcvr will keep playing music or TV depending on the service, etc…

  GIVE IT A REST people..it is only a test…..GROW UP!! You are really paranoid idiots…….NO wonder this country is in the toilet…with people like YOU in the public (OH wait its the implants or the flouride in the water that causes that to happen right??? ITS always something….and we didnt land on the moon, yada yada yada…..RIGHT!!!)

  NO, DISH AND DIRECTV WILL NOT BE AFFECTED..they are NOT part of the EAS chain..only terrestrial stations (AM, FM, TV) and cable systems that carry such are required to carry EAS signals..EVEN THE NWS IS NOT taking part in this test…they normally do their own test of Weather Radio receivers on Wednesday…the NWS decided to cancel their test that day since they did not want to cause confusion. WHY is it at 2PM?? BECAUSE THAT WHEN the ENGINEERS who maintain the equipment are awake, idiots!!! I SURE AS HELL would not like to be up at 2AM wondering if this thing is gonna work or not….GEESH get a life folks..and that nut job with food and water stocked up?? Yeah they make seeds for you……tiny seeds that take over your mind and make you see funny things (LOL!!! Bet he is running scared right now!)..YOU are a NUT JOB and should be locked up….
  I didnt see any comments on my earlier messages (I AM surprised BLAZE actually let them be posted…I am impressed! BUT I still see the same nut messages from the same nut jobs even after posting the truth!!!) I would say I feel sorry for you…but I don’t…I am more scared than anything…

  What a joke this site is…all you idiots don’t know a thing about EAS or its history. EAS replaced the old EBS system in the late 80s/early 90s AND THE EAN was ALWAYS part of it..BUT it was never tested OR USED (Like it should have been on 9/11/01!)…SOOO the FCC decided it was time to do so and all broadcasters have been warned that this test better work without fail. It is something that has been in the works for YEARS and even President Obama will NOT be the main voice on this test. You right wing nuts go crawl back in your cave since you obviously want to believe garbage!! What a joke you and this site is…..
  I have been in broadcast engineering for 30+ years and knew about this EAN test for the last several years. Get a life and find something really worth while to complain about…(DID YOU KNOW Rush Limbaugh originally tried to be a Top40 DJ? He FAILED…it takes brains to do the shtick!!! AND HE HAS LIED on the air about certain issues but will NOT correct himself when told so…I have sent several emails and he NEVER WILL correct himself)…what an fat lying idiot!!
