  Everyone please read Patrick Henrey’s comment, he hit the nail on the head–This is exactly the real debate here. The vast majority of us have no malice or ill intent towards the gay population. We would fight to preserve their rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. I ahve gay friends I love dearly. However “marriage” is a religious institution and you can not change the definition of the word to suit you sexual prefference. I believe gays should have the rights of married couples but in a civil union, all of this debate is simply over definition of the word “marriage”.

  One Nation Under GOD, In GOD we trust! Those fools that are trying to convince us we are NOT a Christian nation and were not founded under Christian principals are the reason we are in hte trouble we are in. There is nothing wrong with this nativity scene, it should on every courthouse lawn in the country. It is the lack of faith, faith in anything, that has lead to our current dismal out look on our future as nation. A free nation without faith and morals can not survive.

  you seriously need a history lesson, to say the Russians won WWII is idiotic and completely false. It was joint effort by the US, Britain and Russia and lead by the US. The Russians could not have invaded from the East with out US air superiority. It was the relentless bombing by mass produced American planes the weakend Germany enough to allow an invasion.

  I agree, it won’t make it to the floor of the Senate becasue Reid might lose this one. Big pressure for drilling at home. Dems on the hot seat will vote for it if in an area where gas is now hitting $4.20 and up. It will take a years to get this oil in to production, we must start now!! But we can’t becasue Obama wants electricity prices to neccessarily skyrocket so his friends can get rich! Carbon Credits is where the money is and his cronies own them!   @ 1Slider, great comment about God stopping by, just want to remind you that God only helps those that help themselves. While you are sitting there whining and waiting for someone else to take care of you and fix the problem, what have you done today to fight against the real reason the economy can not recover? Progressive liberlism has infected our economy and destroyed it. Regulation, Czars, bailouts, too big too fail, political correctness, socialist, marxist, Obama and Bush, and YOU are factors contributing to the downward spiral.
