  • Much as I do not care for Moore and the messages he puts out – that was “lashing out?” Really? He came across as calm and in control. That was lashing out?

He may be, in my opinion, full of crap and manipulative, but he wasn’t lashing out here. Have seen him way more “lashing” in other videos. Do we need to lie about the content of an article or video to get someone to read or watch?

    Accuracy in headlines, anyone?

  • Blaze-
Your filter is all messed up. I used the term *****-footing, as in walking on tippy toes like a cat slinks up on its prey or slinks around danger.

    And I got *****-footing. Really?

  • Tell me that the first gasoline car was perfect. Tell me it went 65 miles an hour and went 500 miles on a tank of gas from the very beginning. Tell me that you can’t see that we need experiments like this to lead to something better than what we have now. Tell me that you say no to it just because it is in its infancy and should be aborted because it causes things to be done differently than they are being done today.

We should cheer on people who try this stuff – not deride their efforts. Is it really time to close the patent office because everything we need has already been invented?

  • This is my fear also.

Why do we sit on our hands while a part of the protesters, any part – no matter how small, destroy public and private property?

Why do we let a group that probably really represents 1% of the US population (haven’t been able to quantify this yet) call themselves the “99%” and destroy in our name? I’m certainly not part of the 1% but I would rather live under the society the way it is than the way these people want it to be.

Big problem is that they either don‘t know what it is they want or don’t realize that if they doe “bring it all down, man” their lot in life will be a lot worse than it is now.

Read works by those who have lived under the great revolutions. It doesn’t turn out good for the average guy.

  • As an Air Force alum (1969-1973) I am ashamed of the branch and its decision.

When is this politically correct crap going to stop? When are we going to stop tying our hands against good deeds because somebody is offended? When are we going to stop *****-footing around problems and talk about them and work toward viable solutions?

The Constitution does not say anything about freedom from religion – if guarantees freedom of expressing your faith in any way you want – including none at all. It also prohibits the federal government from establishing a state religion.

Any numbskull, or person with logic and/or without an agenda, can see that the goal of this whole effort, despite the fact it is being run by a particular religious entity, is to make some kids happy.

    The problem with this is. . . . . . .?

  • What I resent is everyone calling something I was forced to take part in (Social Security and Medicare) an entitlement. It is my money they took to put into a ponzi scheme.

I recently started getting Social Security, but I would have been happy to just get my money back. Not even interest – just the money I and my employers put in.

Not against people in real need getting aid from these programs – as long as they are legal citizens of this country.

  • @Eric_The_Red_State

    Toga! Toga! Toga!

  • This is more than dumb – this is a travesty. These women are putting their lives on the line every day and to make them cow tow to this politically correct crap is an insult. If they could do it without getting in trouble, they should refuse to go out in public or on patrol. (Been in the military – know how that would go over.)

The numbnuts in charge should be called on the carpet for such a stupid “encouragement.”

The military should be over there to win – not bow down to the local customs. Win and come home.

    Git ‘er one!!!

  • But with that said – we need to be more careful about how, ore even if, American taxpayers’ money should prop up any private enterprise.

Just bought a Mercury Mariner Hybrid – love it when it is driving around town on electricity only. Am anxiously waiting for the new RAV4. Just like cars that sit higher in traffic.

  • Know two people personally and of one other who own one of the original RAV4s. They range from 8-10 years old. They all swear by their car. They charge at night and drive their +/- 100 miles. The average travel each day is 40 miles or under – for 90% of us.

One guy drives from Santa Cruz, CA to Santa Clara each day to work. (That’ 42 miles +/-.) It is a very taxing road – up and down and lots of curves. He plugs it in when he is at work when he can, but if he can’t he still has energy to get home. He generates energy on the way down the hill on both sides. Can you generate gasoline as you go down hill? It is a roomy small SUV and has a lot of pep. In fact, electric cars have more torque at startup than a gasoline engine and they are about 60% more efficient.

The other guy raves about his car. They both have NiMH battery packs. They both say that their (at least) 8 year old batteries are performing just like they did when they got the cars.

It isn’t about global warming, or being green, or any of that crap. It’s about taking money away from those who want to cut our throats. It is about being self-sufficient. Standing on our own two feet (620 million of them). I know that it isn’t politically correct but I say screw those who wish us ill, for whatever reason.

    Investigate.

Better batteries will mean better range. It is true that a gallon of gas is a terrific storage system for energy – it’s just that where and how we have to get it and what it does to the air when we burn it is not healthy – financially or healthwise.
