  Annika, when I was in my late teens in the 80s, we had a solar eclipse and I remember the same thing happening. It was such an eerie feeling too as it was nearly dark in the middle of the day.

  I keep a roll of duct tape for my head by me when I read the news lately. This leaders of this country have gone completely brain dead as have about 30 percent of the population.

  Rush Limbaugh played a montage of the Left this week and everyone of them used the term “hostage” to describe Republicans and Tea Party members. Seriously, this is getting old. I have said for a while now (not on here but offline) that the Aug 2nd deadline is bogus as the Fed has come out and said that they might be able to squeak it out until September. This after extending it to Aug after the last deadline. The Fed and the Obama cronies know their deadline is a lie that is about to be exposed and the repubs are about to cave in to preserve this lie. We as a nation take in 200 billion dollars a month and our interest payments are 29 billion dollars out of that. We can live on 171 billion dollars a month but Obama can’t destroy our Constitution on that. He needs more to completely destroy this country. Republicans JUST SAY NO!!

  Well, it the flag is so racist why are there approximately 100,000 blacks that are members of the “Sons of Confederate Veterans”. Slavery was an issue the North used against the South (propaganda) as the North had slaves as well. Only your richest plantations had slaves as the South in general was poor and most people did not have slaves. People also forget and don’t know that when Lincoln signed the “Emancipation Proclamation” it only freed slaves in the South, not the North or Northern controlled southern states. The main agenda for the South was double taxation. They grew the cotton and got taxed. They sent the cotton to England to have it made into textiles and on its return, was taxed again. The South said enough, the North said get over it and then Fort Sumter happened.

  Cobra Blue, you are absolutely correct. A lot of people don’t realize that when the Founders signed the Declaration of Independence, they were essentially signing their death warrant. That took real courage in the face of an oppressive government.

  Problem is, if people keep making the birth certificate a major issue, and at the last minute he flashes it everywhere then not only will he win in a landslide but the Republican party will be over. Enough with the birth certificate. He has done more than enough to campaign on to kick his butt out of office.
