  1) As to religious freedom: In a case that involved a $5 fine imposed upon Amish parents who kept their kid out of public school for religious reasons, the US Supreme Court ruled that even this $5 fine imposed a substantial burden on religious freedom. PPACA imposes a fine of $2000 per employee. Do the math. 2) on the Blunt Amendment: The Supreme Court also ruled that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a measure of similar intent, was unconstitutional, because THE FIRST AMENDMENT SAYS CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW concerning religion, and these matters belong in the courtroom, not the liegislature. 3) What the heck is a religious freedom rider doing in a transportation-control law?
