  • She is not running again because she would have lost big..she isn’t liked by many here. This controversy is her ticket to Obama’s inner circle if he commits enough voter fraud to win again. She needs a job afterall. She is an embarassment to North Carolina. The EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the DNC in NC resigned because he was a homosexual making advances to normal heterosexual men in their party [I thought that never happens]. Then Gov Perdue demands the head of the DNC Chairman of NC, then flip flops and praises him for staying.

  • I, a leading scientist in my mind, have concluded that leading man-made global warming scientists are right. AND The leading cause of that man made global warming is coming from all the hot-air produced by these scientists and their followers.

  • If there is no God, there is no hell. The world becomes “dog eat dog” and people are just another animal. How can anyone trust an atheist? The only thing that truly keeps them in civilization is the fear of punishment by the law. Love of their family or life in general is instinct based. Never do business with one for maximun profit is their only motive.

  • I hope his son makes it, imagine being in two plane crashes and losing one of his parents in both, not to mention his siblings. This child may be destined for something. God watch over him.

  • As a long-term military guy, I do agree that common sense and logic do not always go hand in hand. Common sense is PERCEIVED based on ONLY the facts KNOWN by the person making the judgement. All facts may not be known by those making the judgement. It is also true that a miltary operation is often planned to get their enemy off-guard, i.e. doing something unexpected. That said, we have limited resources and cannot stop every terrorist attack. It is best to focus on the most probable line of attack. The current airport screening method is a huge smokescreen and a huge waste of money (never mind our liberty). It gives some people a false sense of security, when in fact it is easy to adapt around. Good intelligence (the NSA/CIA type) is the best use of the money. I am sorry to break this to you… we can be attacked as bad or worse than 9-11 and without luck and good intelligence there is little we can do to stop it. Ask yourself… How many terrorist attacks have we stopped from airport screening? The best it does is to make an enemy have to be a bit more creative and stop maybe a “lone wolf.” Guns in the cockpit are far better than any method of screening.

  • I think you are making a bit too much out of this. I am conservative, don’t like Van Jones, and in my mid 50′s; but I see this more as a motivational speech than some sinister plot. What he is saying is that youth have easy access to wisdom and knowledge. He is also saying that they grew up with the technology and know more about it than most older people. Both of which are true. The video was edited so I can only comment on the parts I heard.

  • Theres a lot more to this story. I live in Raleigh. The local liberals got the NAACP involved and we have people associated with F.I.S.T. holding demonstration during Board Meetings. The meeting have been out of control from the constant interuptions of the liberals. They have been some arrests and a lot of screaming. I helped to get these guys elected and never expected the liberal backlash after the election we got. John Tedesco was a very active guy in Big Brothers here. He has been fired because of NAACP pressure and is living on the Board salary of about $18K/yr and his savings. The libs here have a good deal with magnet schools and they are feeling threatened. Busing and subsequent overcrowding of outlying schools have forced some of us in mandatory year round schools on different schedules.from high schools and middle schools. They have ruined the school system and people had enough. Our newly elected board is being attacked from a sides by the liberals and Democratic operatives. We need help. There is another school board election this year and conservative nominees will need funding.

  • I am a retired regular officer of the armed forces. I took an oath (still valid since I was a regular officer) to protect the US Constitution, not to the president. The enlisted personnel do give an oath to the constitution, obey the president’s orders and the orders of officers above them. The order must be legal to be valid with the US Constitution trumping all. I seriously doubt that the US Armed Forces would turn on the US public. The current military are educated and are volunteers; most with a dedication to our country. I think a military coup would be more likely than that. Obama‘s biggest problem is he doesn’t have enough armed people that would go along with him if he tried to become extra-Constitutional. That includes the military to the local police forces.

  • I was in the Air Force. 9-11 changed the way hijackings are handled. Civilians understand the stakes and the potential dangers. Playing along is not an option anymore. That really should be enough. If it is just about protecting people from being murdered, there are easier targets than aircraft to do that. The planes can’t easily turn into missiles now they let there secret out. I say lets quit this madness and accept there is risk in all we do, flying is low risk, safer than driving even with terrorists around. This is a “dog and pony show”, we can’t protect everything; the government only wants you to think they are doing their best. Heck, even the military understands point defense. IMHO, a metal detector for guns is enough. TSA is a joke, a sick one at that. When can spend our money better to protect our country and it’s citizens. My 2 cents…for what it is worth.
