  • “Shares fell from $43.77 to $14.18 in single afternoon of trading.”

It doesn’t matter what their Q3 report says. That’s some serious damage right there. The volatility of the solar marketplace is going to make future investors even more skittish and this administration can’t continue to fund these risky ventures.

While the Solyndra scandal is being largely whitewashed by the MSM, it’s effects were clearly the death knell of the “green economy.” The good that comes out of a battered market is sensibility (albeit temporary).

  • They didn’t even mention ammo sales…

  • “This is why we call you pigs.”

…and THAT is why we call you d-bags!

  • Hey President Knucklehead! This is not an island.

(But I get the reference.) It’s funny that you show such a great knowledge of contemporary pop culture, but display a distinct lack of knowledge of Constitutional law, even though you’re “credentialed” in it. Hey, why do the job you swore an oath to when you can go on talk shows and pander to the morons who elected you to do something that you haven’t actually done.

We all know that what you’re really saying is; “I have never had to pay attention to anything my entire career. I have handlers, robots, zombies, and the media to do that for me.” I’m sure your magic teleprompter will tell you everything you need to say about the “survivor” when the time comes.

  • Ummmm. No, Unbothered (to seek the truth). We don’t hate free speech, but we certainly are angry. We’re angry about the moronic interpretation of “economic justice.” The true definition of economic justice is allowing people to keep the things they worked hard to achieve. Taking something that somebody else worked for is hardly just. You have to be a seriously perverted individual to think otherwise.

If you want wealth, go create it. Deifying stupid bastards who think that holding a sign that says “give me free stuff” is just as valuable as working hard is nothing short of idiocy and is a slap in the face to those who actually DO work hard and DO create wealth.

It’s true that the percentage of Americans who did not actually earn their wealth is near 1%. Its NOT true that people who EARN more than $200k / year did not work hard for it and should not keep the fruit of their efforts. It’s interesting that so many of you not only blur the line between the two, but also see either as being unfair. For some reason, you believe that merely having a pulse entitles you to the same things.

Those of us who actually work hard and aspire to better things take umbrage with those of you who feel you are entitled to those better things without working for them. You are a disgrace to humanity.

In a sense, you are really just exhibiting the primal sense of jealousy. You‘re lucky that we’re civilized enough not to exhibit the primal response to your threateni

  • I have a better idea, Ms. Middler. Why don’t you just “pay your fair share” like the people you SO identify with are asking you to do? I think they were calling for something in the range of 90% of your “ill-gotten” wealth.

  • Regarding #6: I meant to say private PASSENGER vehicles.

  • @MTremblay:

You are not alone here. I too was raised as a Catholic and was devout into my 30′s. I have my reasons for not believing any more and I have indeed been “blasted” by some Christians here because of my lack of faith. But those who judge us do so at their own peril because that makes them no different from the militant, extremist Muslims.

It‘s hard for some religious people to believe that there are objective and rational atheists who respect and appreciate peoples’ faith as long as those people respect the lives and beliefs of others. We are at the mercy of the idiots who are perceived to be representative of us (much like with government). I have no respect for atheists who attack religious people and their beliefs, especially cowards like Dawkins, who incessantly go after Christians, but don’t have the guts to attack Islam.

Our nation was founded on the principle of religious freedom. I think it’s important that we all recognize that there is no freedom of religion if we accept the notion that there is only one religion. They may very will be in God’s favor when all is said and done, but that doesn’t give them the right to trample upon our beliefs and the freedom to them until then.

If you see a problem with my lack of faith, you should also understand that’s between God and me. Go tend to your own flock.

  • @UNIX:

Wow! Did you just mirror everything you accused me of saying and being?

Look, I respect your beliefs and would defend them and your right to them. I was once a Christian and I have personal reasons to no longer believe. It‘s clear that you don’t respect that. Maybe your religious beliefs prevent it. That’s fine. But you sir are ignorant if you don’t see the hypocrisy in defending a religion that preaches kindness and charity by being a total a__hole.

  • @GaryM:
So then, rather than try to understand why I may have lost my faith, you intend to judge me? YOU have been granted the power of absolute judgement? YOU call ME the Devil’s slave?

You, sir, are the slave; to your own ignorance. Your attitude and behavior are some of the reasons that atheism exists. I get along perfectly well with the Christians I know and love and they, with me. Maybe YOUR god forbids peaceful coexistence. Clearly, theirs does not. So I say to you, with all due respect; kindly F___ off and die. Oh, and God bless you, a__hole.
