  I lived in the Philippines for 2 years doing missionary work for my own church and I had many run-ins with these people. They do believe some interesting things for sure. More than once they tried to argue the merits of their religion with me and my companions, but there was always a spirit of contention that was not conducive to a healthy religious discussion so most of the time it was futile. I don’t know a ton about their doctrines and for the most part the left us alone, but man did they get MAD when we started teaching one of their members.

  As a member of a church with purely unpaid clergy I don’t forsee this being a particular problem for my church, but I definitely do not like the effects this will have on all churches and other followers of Christ if the courts do not shoot this down. Now would be a great time to pray for divine intervention in the matter.
