But first do the right thing and turn off your computer as its probably getting its juice from a nuke plant. And we know you would not want to contribute to that evil thing!   Nuclear power still has the best safety record of all energy products. How many people have been killed in coal mines or oil rigs in the last 40 years? How many people who work at coal fired plants get cancer? Nothing that produces energy is without risk. Is death from black lung or getting blown up on an oil rig somehow preferable to radiation poisoning? BTW. The fly ash from a coal plant contains thorium and uranium and has been known to pollute ground water for years. If not for being prevented from proper disposal of nuclear waste it could be stored safely in the sea bed sediment or even Yucca mountain. Nuclear plant workers have a lower cancer rate than the general population.

  Gold you should believe it. what blew up is the top floor of the external building. It has some space designed to hold steam build ups. The plant operators were fully aware of the build up of hydrogen. If a 747 crashed into one of these facilities it still would not release any serious radiation. All evidence indicates that the safest place near that plant was inside the plant itself when the quake and wave hit.Even if the core melts down, the radiation will stay in the containment vessel. When it cools down they will remove the whole unit and take it to a storage facility just like they do when replacing a containment vessel. When three mile island melted down no one was injured. They even allowed president Carter to visit the site during the crisis. and he is still alive and well!   Chicken, With coal there is this thing called fly ash witch must be stored on site there are huge mountains of the stuff at every plant. Its dirty and its radio active. Nuclear power is the way to go

  Nuclear power is safer than living by the beach! As was just proven by the catastrophe in Japan. Would you have rather been on the coast or in that nuke plant that survived a Magnitude 9.0 quake a tidal wave and over 200 after shocks!
