  • In reply to children like Monicne: Clearly, she’s a product of the Al Gore social-engineering educational farce. Notice how she cheers on Ayn Rand’s personal-life depravity, but denounces what valid principles are attributeable to her philosophy.

She says, “Some younger, stronger and better man will use that mining license to do things safely.” Stronger? Better? Safer? The only ones left ready to take up the where “The old guy” leaves off, are the federal official vulchers themselves via their corrupt minnions, FDA, EPA, ACLU, ad infinitum. With their free passes, they don’t worry about regulations or standards. Look at GE, why aren’t federal officials breathing down their necks? Because they don’t eat their own, that’s why. Meanwhile, GE Healthcare is relocating and investing $2 billion in China!! Two billion! Here’s a federally subsidized company that uses more than 50% of coal to generate electricity, doubled our costs in the last two years, takes tremendous profits, and turns around and invests in China.
I’m certain that China will appreciate the Monicnes of this country who take pride in driving around in their “green” coal-burning Priuses, “boinking” away ala Rand, while “The old guy” who “has made money, and has had enough” relinquishes more resources to their future welfare.

  • Awkward. I’m almost embarrassed for him. Liberlism = mental disease.

  • Gwynn Moore can deny all she wants, but she and her co-horts Jesse Jackson, Sharpton, et al, are simply carrying out the agenda of their white superior, Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood:

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the ***** is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the ***** population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
Margaret Sanger’s December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts.

  • In response to RADAMAA: Homeschooling is a growing industry. We are no longer just a grassroots movement. There are literally millions of families who are now homeschooling, and it continues to grow rapidly. The resources are amazing. Just google homeschooling for your state and you can get connected to state or local resources. As far as I know, every state has it’s state organization that provide limitless information and guidance. Local HS co-ops are available just about everywhere. There are homeschooling curricula online. You can create your own or register for programs provided through the state or pick and choose from a slew of educational approaches. Many programs are free online.

If we want to take action, this is the most effective way I can think of making an impact. We are already making an impact. Just check out the statistics on kids’ achievement levels compared to the public schools. I strongly urge and encourage parents to consider this alternative. I have made it my one-gal mission to urge parents to take control of their children’s education by taking them out of the public school system. It doesn’t have to be homeschool; but for most of us it the most affordable, and very often the best method. There is no doubt that our educational system via the NEA has become degraded and corrupt. It’s been in the works since 1926. Read the following excerpt:

According to the NEA’s historical chronology in 1956, former teacher, Communist and Union organizer, Dr. Bella Dodd states, “…the Communist party whenever possible wanted to use the Teacher’s Union for political purposes but the party had a definite interest in education also. The Communists in the Teachers’ Union were for progressive education. We were its most vocal and enthusiastic supporters…. Most of the programs we advocated, the NEA followed the next year or so.” [1] Cuddy, 32.

What we are experiencing today should come as no surprise..

  • This kid is a perfect specimen of our educational system. This is exactly the end result that our protesting teachers have been incrementally processing for several decades. This creature didn’t happen overnight. John Gatto wrote about the NEA‘s true agenda back in the ’60s when he was a NY teacher. He butted heads with the teachers/unions for 30 years trying to change the system. No one listened. He laid out clearly our schools are designed to cripple imagination and discourage critical thinking and how it’s deliberate and intentional.

Yet it began earlier than this. This deterioration goes back to John Dewey whose philosophy claimed it wasn’t so important for children to learn facts as much as to become socialized. And so the experiments with curricula began. Dewey was a student of Marx and helped write the Humanist Manifesto in which he tells of his goals for America’s public schools. Psychologist like BF Skinner jumped in to help mold children’s minds through public schools to conform to these goals. The NEA gave Dewey high recognition for his work.

According to the NEA’s historical chronology in 1956, former teacher, Communist and Union organizer, Dr. Bella Dodd states, “…the Communist party whenever possible wanted to use the Teacher’s Union for political purposes but the party had a definite interest in education also. This is all documented, Folks. Just do the research, and you’ll find how far back this goes. It’ll lead you back all the way to the Frankfurt School that originated in Germany in 1923. When Hitler took power, it’s members fled to US universities like Princeton and Berkeley, to name a few. Many of it’s follwers read like a whos-who: Herbert Marcuse, Eric Fromm, Maslow, Margaret Sanger, and so on. Lord Bertrand Russel, another follower, wrote “When the technique (Frankfurt theory) has been perfected, every government that has been in charge of education for a generation will be able to control its subjects securely without the need of armies or policemen.”

I many sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it’s in black and white. But what’s more, the evidence is right in front of our eyes. One of several actions being implements on today’s campuses is “Marcuse’s concept of ‘repressive toleration’-‘tolerance for movements from the left, but intolerance for movements from the right’-enforced by the students of the Frankfurt School’.” Other ideas was to create racial offenses or encouraging breakdown of the family. The list goes on and on. Here’s some references: chronology of NEA.doc; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2216734/posts.

A teacher is worth their weight in gold. Sadly, the Aristotles or Montessories are extinct or in hiding. But we have one weapon. This challenge is for all concerned parents who want to save the hearts and minds of their young ones. TAKE THEM OUT OF SCHOOL! Homeschool if you can’t afford private. If they are your first priorities, bend over backwards; do whatever it takes. Visualize these teachers/teacher unions’ faces to find they have no little minds to mold.

    My apoligies for such verbosity.
