  • Yes I have been brainwashed…. I bought a handgun this year

  • Fr. Marcel Guarnizo was right to withhold communion for Barbara Johnson. She was not a member of the faith, lived contrary to the faith and she was the one who created the incident by requiring that she partake in communion. Having been raised by a her mother, a catholic, whe would have known that she would not be eligable for communion because of her beliefs, budism, and her lifestyle. Additionally, according to this article, Ms Johnson after being told she could not have communion and the reason from the priest definantly when to a lay person for communion anyway.

As a believer, who is not a catholic, I would not disrepect anyone religion, let alone my mothers, by partaking in a sacrament that i was told i could not participate in. Frankly, Ms Johnson need to apologize the the priest and the church for her behavior.

  • encinom,

Christ is concerned with the heart of man, not economic and political philosophy. He talked about giving to the poor and following him, not the goverment being all things to all people.

  • There is a saying….“trust but verify”. I think that applies here. If anyone say’s they are a christian, and that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour, I take them at their word and leave it to Christ to separate the lambs from the goats. But, if someone who says they are a Christian, is trying to teach me how to believe, think, and live and actions and words go against my faith. I will not say they are not a Christian, but I will say I believe they are in error.

It is an error to believe that your salvation depends on anyone other then Christ.
It is an error to believe that taxation equals charity. One is the result of force and the other compassion.
It is an error to force someone to act, or to contribute to an act that is against their faith or conscience.

    Remember Matthew 7:15

  • I was at the Santorum rally in Tacoma last night. What a loutish group trying to disrupt the event by screaming at the top of their lung that they were the 99%. Rick did great! I was impress by his ability to stay on a very worthwhile message while the useful idiots chanted. One can only hope that a little of it might have sunk in.

  • Where are the atheist sueing the President for invoking the name of Jesus?

  • Because Jesus was concerned with the inner man or his heart. Jesus was never about force or taking, but to giving and gratefulness as a response to being repentant and saved.

  • Believing the dogma that there is no God in an organized setting is the same thing believing the dogma there is a God in an organized setting. It’s called a religion.

In the end only one belief will be right, and frankly I am in greater awe of my God who exsists and even has a personal relationship with me, then the one who doesn’t and offers nothing.

  • Says a person who names himself after the assassin SirhanSirhan.

  • Profit is not a dirty word. Profiteering is! John Clark is right this is a great demonstration as to how capitalism works. Is the consummer feels that the supplier is profiteering then they will find another supplier. No need for the FCC or any other goverment agency to spend taxpayer dollars to investigate.
