  I think the more appropriate question would have been: “If we allowed EVERYONE to vote in our elections regardless of what country they are a legal citizen of, would it upset you to find out that members of terrorist organizations arranged for large numbers of their people to CROSS our borders in order to vote in our elections?”.

  What the heck, we do not need national security. While we are at it why do not just hand welfare cards out at the borders. What kind of selfish people are we that we should not put all peoples of all countries on our welfare?

  texasknight, you miss the point. Unions do not take the entire picture into account when attempting to INCREASE their income. Grew up in MI, could argue this one with you all day, dad was a union steward. Today you have a million ways to take care of injustices in the work place without handing your money over to corrupt individuals. You have no say as to where they spend that money. Let’s face it, in most instances you have no say what so ever when it comes to your employer. We are a lazy society, this is just one of the many examples that prove we want someone else to take care of things for us.

  It does not matter where you stand on this issue – it is wrong – it is not the role of the feds to dictate.

  What bothers me MORE is how the little king stood there and LIED. Oh you don’t have to provide it, the insurance company will. Now we all know that insurance companies are in business to see how much charity they can dole out. They are just going to go THEIR employees and ask for donations to pay for these costs when a religious institution does not want to.

  Someone please wake me up because I am going to have a heart attach if I have to listen to this horrible night mare any more. We have 1 ONE ONE single person walking in the United States that believed that crap?!!!!! With all the LIES he has told (and I mean out and out lies) that man will never have my respect.

  What if this child had allergies? One of my four children had allergies so I made sure to make his lunch everyday. Did I inform the school about his allergies? No. It did not seem necessary as long as I was monitoring his food. His allergies were not life threatening unless if you consider he became very hyper and obstinate if he ate the foods he was allergic to, then perhaps someone would want to do him bodily harm.

  Does anyone remember an old comedy montage about the government taking care of them, until at the end the guy is in a harness in his shower? I wish I could remember the comedian that did it.

  Disenlightened, you are correct that they are doing it to everyone. Am not sure how much/how many different programs are being funded now, but when my kids were in school they were talking about accepting government funds for certain scholarship programs for public school children to offset their costs. There are probably other type programs within the schools that would qualify them to apply for government grants. When the green monster takes over, there is no stopping it.
