  • Wow you are quite ignorant… calling a Dogo a pitbull is like mistaking a bobcat for a Bengal tiger. Sure, both are cats but you’d never mistake the two.

  • I don’t understand… when people talk about “assessing the threats” around the world and dealing with them I’m left confused. How is it that it’s only the US assessing and dealing with threats all over the globe? Why aren’t other countries building military bases around the world to protect their interests and secure their safety? Are there no threats to Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India…. etc. etc. etc. Is the threat solely to the United States? Are those other countries just not assessing the threat to them OR is there no real threat to them on any fundamental level? If there is no large scale threat to them, why is there a threat to us? Why aren’t all those other countries being threatened to the same level? Could it be that we are doing something to bring the threat on ourselves? Are we making up the threat to use it to our own devices?

I don‘t know the answer but something just isn’t right because the way I see it is we’re broke and our only hope is to get our economic house in order and DO IT FAST. If we don’t, we won’t be able to assess and deal with any threats! And, if we lose the constitution via crazy things like the NDAA, we’ll be eaten alive from the inside. Either way, Paul comes out ahead for me given these two principles and I don’t understand the people who call him a kook.

  • He has always been a humble man and the fact that he isn’t in bed every night dreaming of himself as the big cheese in the oval office makes me like him even more!

  • “I don’t really have a preference of whether China, Russia or Muslims leave us in shambles. I would actually prefer none of them did it… Oh well, our cities will be leveled but we’ll still have money. It won‘t be worth anything but we’ll have it.”

I get what you‘re saying and I’d prefer non of those countries left us in shambles, too, but the point is, if we end up completely broke, not only will we not be able to sustain any more wars on foreign soil but WE WON’T BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO DEFEND OURSELVES ON OUR OWN SOIL!!! Do you think the money supply is endless?

We need to get our priorities straight and starting a war with a small country that has no real military to speak of and certainly can‘t reach our soil just doesn’t make sense to me. Israel has the fire power to defend herself and if we start bombing Iran, their big nasty friends who DO have the ability to mess us up just might take the opportunity to do so. And for what? What’s the end goal?

  • What have we become?! I‘ve been a conservative my whole voting career and I’ve voted straight ticket (R) every election cycle but this is just getting ridiculous.

WE ARE BROKE!!!!!!!!! Do people not understand this?! What are we gonna do when China or Russia comes a knocking and we can’t defend ourselves because we spent so much fighting the terrorists in the middle east. COME ON people, the middle east is the least of our problems… seriously.

If we are so worried about terrorism, don’t you all think it would make more sense to bring the troops home, stop the foreign aid, and use all that money to build up the military here on OUR SOIL. Close the gates, guard the castle, be the biggest scariest dog on the block snarling from the front gate?! But to go out and start ANOTHER war?! It makes me sick just thinking about it!

I don’t know… this all just doesn’t make sense anymore.

  • It always amazes me how classless people can be! Talk about a loser… why post such drivel? Support Ron Paul or Don’t. Argue the issues. Make a case for why he is the worst ever but to make such a grotesque, unfounded, and frankly repugnant statement shows just the type of person you are. You’re part of the problem!

  • Amen. Amen. Amen.

I can watch a show on TLC that shows a guy get his face removed and put back on but somehow one of the most common medical procedures on the planet is never seen on TV.

If women could actually see what they were doing, I think most would choose life. They can’t be allowed to though because that would be detrimental to the multi-billion dollar industry.

    PUKE.

  • @argument – no, it’s not nitpicking. Lee County is not the Tampa area at all. When I see a blatant, easily checked fact so wrong, I always wonder what else in the story might be off. Plus, the inflammatory language of:

“”The man’s wife asked that he be taken to the hospital, but Lee County cops allegedly decided instead to “strip Christie naked, tie him to a chair, cover his face, and then pepper spray him repeatedly, until he died.”

I get a little nervous and upon researching, that isn’t entirely how it went down. The whole thing is disgusting, I think the cops went WAAAAY over the line but there is also more to the story than being reported here.

You can see the actual State Attorney’s findings at this link:

  • This story is true and disgusting but the facts are not entirely correct:

Lee County is not Tampa area it’s Fort Myers
The man was arrested twice within two days for disorderly conduct
He refused to submit to a medical screening on intake
The wife reported his health issues after the second arrest but I don’t think the wife requested he be taken to the hospital, a staff nurse did a few hours after the wife visited.
They did not just gag him and throw him in a chair. He was apparently behaving violently and spitting on staff so they used a spit rag and restrained him.

You can read the full report from the state attorney here:

I don’t say all of this to defend what happened… I don‘t think pepper spray was necessary and the level was way over the top but it’s not as one-sided as this story portrays it.

Just sayin’… for what it’s worth.

  • As a resident of Lee County, I‘m pretty sure the Sherriff’s office was not a union shop at the time this incident is cited. They voted to unionize this past August.
