  lifes not fair, sometimes you dont get the ball. and yes, in life there are jerks to rub it in your face. should the couple have given the ball to the kid, yes. but they didn’t. but like most situations in our society now, the kid was rewarded for crying about it. we’ve become spoiled brats.

  all translations lose some meaning. mostly because of the difference in languages. that’s why priests and pastors learn greek and hebrew, so they can teach from the original texts.

  @bernbart. eleven years ago my 18 year old girlfriend and i went to planned parent hood to get some counciling, to give us courage to tell our parents my girlfriend was pregnant. every person at that place told us to have an abortion. not one person brought up adoption or having the child and dealig with the consiquences of our decision. we did not listen. we now have a ten year old child with down syndrome, and have been married for ten years. it was not easy, but killing a life, because it would make our lives easier was not an option.

  as a father of a child with downs, hearing about people that abort children just because they are handicap really upsets me. my son is the happiest, care free, and loving human being i have ever encountered. no man, should have the right to eliminate a life, because they think it lower than their own or not worth living.
  i don’t with anything bad on these people, and it’s just money that they won. in the eternal view of things, it means nothing. i do hope though, that their child will one day change their view on the value of life….and if that happens, they will have to live with the fact, that at one time, they wished death upon their own child.

  i’d like to chime in here as a black man and a teacher. there is a problem in the black community with the educating of young black men and women. the problem is found in the family. most black parents this day in age, don‘t put any effort in their child’s life. that is the problem i see all the time. i try to be the best role model to young black men i can, because, modern black fathers have ruined the lives of this generations children. the black man was so proud in the late 80s and early 90s, striving ahead with hard work and need to prove ourselves. now, all i see is black men with their hands out for something they don’t deserve… and a generation of lost children and resposibility they have run away from.

  13thgenerati0namerican, i don’t think you relize, all people are taken care of at the hospital even if you don’t have health insurance. also, how can someone who (i’m taking a safe guess here since i know your a big lib) supports abortion, or a party that is pro chioce, even have the gall to claim someone supports killing children. you libs call it choice, i call it taking the easy road in life by taking the life that would make yours hard.
