  • People that already have diabetes do not need to be ingesting large quantities of sugar-laden drinks. My wife had a friend that was diabetic and refused to follow a diet that would help her condition. She frequently drank regular soda and wound up with both legs amputated. She was dead at age 48. This ad goes too far. People just need to be accountable for their actions.

  • This stunt doesn’t impress me at all. Now if he were to fly a human-powered airplane around the world, that would impress me!

I just can’t see the logic in leaving a carbon footprint to bring attention to greenhouse gases. That’s like shooting a polar bear to bring attention to their so-called plight.

  • Since these people were not able to “procreate”, maybe we should just award them a baby. There’s plenty of them out there to adopt. Seriously, these “victims” or their families signed a consent for the sterilization, so I don’t understand the issue here. This sounds like the people that signed mortgage contracts for ARM loans and now are saying the lenders tricked them.

  • If they don’t leave, it’s time for the hickory shampoo!

  • I equate it to hearing one of my children singing in the shower – as their father, I really enjoy it, so I imagine my Heavenly Father likes to hear me sing at least as much ;)

  • Why do people think church is a democracy? I don’t find that teaching anywhere in the Bible, so it must be man-made.

  • There’s a lot of truth to that. Man-made religion has corrupted God’s work on the earth and now people think their congregation should be able to vote on things that happened. I would like for someone to show me where that occurred in the New Testament.

  • It’s interesting that the same people who would ban any translation other than the King James, stand in the pulpit, read a passage, then explain what it means. Isn’t that translating? I don’t see the difference.

As for the music, I believe true worship magnifies God and puts the focus on him, not us. If done in the right spirit, it also prepares us to hear from him. If people disagree with what happens at their church, they should find another that suits them. Too many churches today are run by the congregation (sheep), not the pastor (shepherd). God places pastors to lead the sheep not the other way around. A church is not a democracy.

  • If retailers continue with the current trend, next Thanksgiving day will become Thanksgiving/Black Thursday. I refuse to enter any retail establishment on Black Friday.

  • I can remember seeing these huge bombs being loaded on alert B-52s back in the 70‘s and 80’s. Since we’re decreasing our stockpile of nukes, at least we’re dismantling the oldest ones first. Whatever happened to “peace through strength”?
