  Instead of sniping each other, we need to discuss issues on which we find common ground. Those who support Ron Paul need to tone down their rhetoric. Traditional social conservatives should be more accommodating. Liberals need to clarify the roots of their ideology (classical liberalism vs. Progressive) and decide whether their goals can be achieved through their current leadership without tearing our nation apart.

  Progressives are using social division and the force of government to achieve their goals. But this is not a strategy that will help us. In fact, we play into their hands.

  I realize it’s a lot more fun to zing out little snippy one-liners to ridicule faceless comments. And I admit I have participated. But it’s a waste of time.

  Are there any sites where libertarians and conservatives ARE talking?

  It’s becoming apparent that discussing such matters with Liberals is futile. Their vision for how our society should work, as well as the values society should be based on is impossible to achieve and impractical to fund.

  I am more interested in hearing Libertarians and Conservatives argue the issue of what we as a society expect from our government, and the corresponding issue of how to pay for it.

  It’s time to put the children to bed so we can have this discussion among adults.

  @Locked: “Uh… only 15% of Mexico is purely Caucasian; even fewer are Spanish. The majority (70%) are Mestizo; combined European and native. The overwhelming population of Mexico has native American blood coursing through their veins. Kinda hard to try and say “they stole it from the Aztecs!” when they are descendants of those people…”

  All that proves is that the Spanish not only murdered and enslaved indigenous Indians, they raped them as well. Quit with trying to explain or solve the sins of the past… Libertarian values are the only ones that will save us now.
