If you have ever seen an abusive parent hit a child – this showed it all. First demonstrate superiority through abusive language and aggressive body language. When that does not work, escalate the anger internally (gritting of the teeth) and then immediately strike out with physical violence… Then – attempt to cover up the damage, pretend the event did not happen, blame the child, and finally laugh it off… wow…
