  • Oh, yeah…Geroge Washington had it right when he declined to serve a third term…we all want the good ones to go on and on, but the danger exists that power gravitates to the “center of gravity” and that is created over time. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Have you seen Hugo Chavez, lately???

  • We already have too many Congressmen/Congresswomen who set up their personal fiefdoms over the extra years they stay in power and we certainly DON’T need a dictator/king for life.

  • Who is anybody in this life? You can only go by a man/woman’s actions as to the depth of their character. Integrity works for me and the appearance is this woman lacks integrity and the man she accuses appears to have a decent track record involving integrity.

  • Confounds me that the good people of New York could even consider, much less vote for such a jackass for public office.

  • Great point! Shows how liberals have pushed this society to their side and how polarized the vocal minority has become. Gay people account for less than 5% of our population…

  • Same can be said for all of the gay activists. If they want to be in the limelight, they have to accept the consequences as well. While, I don’t condone their actions, they have to deal with explaining it to the Maker, not me. What needs to be explained is why they have preferential treatment with “Hate Crimes” legislation and the like. All crime should be treated the same. None should be condoned. Freedom of speech means whatever you say is not a crime unless you say something that gets another harmed. YOU are responsible for what YOU do and say…and sometimes that means you are responsible to no one but only to God.

  • Traffic signage, symbols, signals have become universal around the globe and all it takes to drive in most foreign countries is a “transcribed” International Driver’s Permit.” You can go down to your local AAA office, pay the price and get one. I, personally, have driven in many countries, the USA, Canada, most of Europe, and in the Middle East. I have conducted business in many different countries as well. It is GOOD to speak the local language, but not necessary for the most part until you decide you want to JOIN! The local language is always mandated for CITIZENS and “wanna be” citizens when they want to be part of the community, participate in elections and otherwise be involved in their desired HOME country. You are a citizen of that country and no longer one of the country you left behind!!!!!.

tsk, tsk…such small people…thinking they have the proverbial bull by the horns. It is only because of folks likeminded as Glenn Beck and the rest of us “common folk” in the hinterland (South Carolina for this one) who just happen to advocate (me, retired military after “protecting” her and her friends for 29+years through 2008) for her freedom to be as stupid and petty as she desires.Oh, wait…that accolade is for her and her friends as they take their stand to be as stupid and petty as they want as a means to be defiant and to make a stand for all rightously idiots. I wish these folks would get a taste of that Sharia Law, they might not be so high and mighty when dealing with those of us who advocate for their rights to be dumb.

  • Jones appears to be frustrated…could be that the truth hits uncomfortably too close to home. Glenn, you are articulate and you do your homework. In the war of ideas/ideals, progressives have held the media upper hand for far too long. Set up an extra show. Let it be broadcast by ALL of the news channels who care to carry it. Let him bring in any of his “comrades” as he deems fit. Bring in Andrew Wilkow, Mike Church, David Webb and possibly Mark Levin to seat a panel that he and his ilk can’t argue around. Let the war of ideals be public so that the masses can see where these idiots are trying to take them (and the rest of us who are kicking and screaming as we are being dragged along)..

And who says we don’t provide bailouts for the airline industry. I’m sure Boeing made some good money off of this project. And we all know how well the DOD is at spending our money. Geez, imagine if we spent even 25% of the defense budget on furthering peace.

There have been plenty of attempts to go with peace in the past…most of those end up with the peaceful entity being swallowed up by the aggressor. Any more, the first strike from a determined foe can be so devestating that we no longer have the luxury of waiting to see what the foe/aggressor will do. For all of the accusations about the aggression of the American “empire builders,” by thankful the old USSR guard or the Communist Chinese never had the power to lop off our collective heads…they have done so to many others…Lithuania, Georgia, Eastern Europe, Tibet, Mongolia, and so on…Our country is perfect…but it is the best this world has seen, even if the idiots generally run it. At least we can get rid of one set of idiots before they ruin it. I just hope the electorate wakes up to the fact that the promises these control freaks give are unsustainable.
