  It sounds non-sensical, but taking Elephant hunting in Africa as an example: Adult bull elephants that are past their prime for breeding purposes are often agressive , especiallly toward younger bulls. They drive younger bulls away from breeding groups of females while at the same time not contributing to the re-population of the species.

  This can result in a dip in population. Old, past-prime or non-breeding bulls are often the largest and carry the most ivory (not always) and they are specifically targeted for that combination of reasons. The cost of an elephant hunt is in the tens of thousands of dollars, the permits are few and well controlled and the meat can provide protien for a local villiage for over a month. From hide to meat to bones nothing is wasted. The proceeds also contribute to the pay of local rangers who deal daily with the poaching problem.

  An ethical hunter will pass up a 3 year old, 10 point white tail in favor of a 5 yr old eight point. It is still a trophy. You are looking for a mature representation of the species, not necessarily the heaviets ivory or most ‘points’.

  I chuckle when La raza describe themselves as hispanic. They do so to affiliate themselves more with the ‘Mexican’ culture than the ‘Latino’ culture. This is purposeful though seldom talked about.

  My company employs men and women from Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Argentina and other Latin American countries. They all have or are currently completing the necessary steps to become US citizens, our latest from Columbia last year after over 7 years of putting in the work.

  They despise the influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico, or any other country, more than any naturalized citizen I know. They call La Raza “El Coyote” and find hollywoods adoration of the likes of Hugo Chavez or Che Guevara not only misinformed, but completely insane.

  In other words, they get it.

  Going out on a limb that my vomit wouldn‘t kill dozens to hundreds to thousands in one ’attack’, and though I’ve put on a few pounds I doubt falling would either. Weather is not premeditated….,just saying.

  And to the amatuer oncologist who said chemo doesn’t work…mom had stage 3 ovarian, 25 percent shot….double-chemo, cancer free for last 2 years and counting.

  It may not buy her 20 years, but the last two have been a blessing as she continues to watch her grandchildren grow, graduate and move forward with their lives while enjoying every birthday, holiday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday……

  It doesn’t work for everyone…fine.

  It doesn’t work forever…fine.

  But it doesn’t work…..wrong.
