DC Museum Works to Save Thomas Jefferson‘s ’Cut & Paste’ Bible

@PubliusPencilman,
I was thinking the same thing myself.
Cost Of A No-Fly Zone? $1 Billion. Benefit to U.S. Economy? $35 Billion. Saving Libyan Lives? Priceless.

You know, if we’d just tap our domestic resources (yeah, I know, dream on). This problem would largely go away.
‘Redneck!’: Ore. Bus Driver Fired for Flying Confederate Flag on Personal Truck
March 10, 2011 at 8:29pm
Actually, the ignorant ones are those who celebrate the confederate flag. And that’s being generous. If they aren’t ignorant, then they’re racist. The confederate flag was the symbol of a group of states who went to war to defend their right to buy and sell human beings as property. And don‘t even try to claim the civil war was about state’s rights. The South jumped on whichever side of that fence was the most effective at furthering slavery. They were all states rights when a state looked like it would join the Union slave (Kansas) and they were all anti-states rights when a state looked like it would join the union free (California).
Young Madison Socialist Reveals Popular ‘Noodles & Company‘ Restaurant Is Actually Harsh ’Dictatorship’
March 1, 2011 at 10:51pm
@Catharsis
It’s quite simple. The socialist looks at his neighbor and says: “No man should have so much.”
The capitalist looks at his neighbor and says: “Every man should have as much.”
The socialist is the crab at the bottom of the bucket pulling all the crabs climbing out back down. The capitalist is the mountain climber holding the rope so those below him can scale the cliff.
Learn it and you’ll be a happier, freer and more prosperous person.
Obama Defends Planned Parenthood After Undercover Vids: ‘Manufactured’
February 21, 2011 at 3:11pm
@Pragmatica.
It is vile and disgusting that a president is on record as publicly stating that children are a punishment, and that trying to save a child surviving an abortion is contrary to the original intent of the doctor and should be illegal.
Or were you implying that an accurate summarization of this philosophy was the vile and disgusting thing?
What Role is the Muslim Brotherhood Playing in Egyptian Protests?
January 31, 2011 at 11:39am
No, the riots started because young people weren’t getting their chicken in every pot and guaranteed job like they were promised. Freedom has very little to do with it.
What Role is the Muslim Brotherhood Playing in Egyptian Protests?

@Lantern. They don’t want freedom. They are pitching a fit because the socialist government hasn’t given them a chicken in their pot. Mark my words.

University Uninvites Bristol Palin Over Too Much ‘Controversy’
January 28, 2011 at 12:31pm
It’s much more likely that the reason Van Jones got $5000 is that was all they had to bid to get him because he’s in such low demand. The reason Bristol was offered $20,000 is because she is in much higher demand.

@middleclass prophet. As an average person who later became high profile because of circumstances beyond her control, she would have much greater impact than some nameless teen off the street. But you already knew that.
