  So any display of beliefs is disrespect? Banners claiming only like minded christians and the only real patriots, the only ones who should make decisions for the rest of us – that doesn’t contstitute shoving it down our throats? Every political ad, every fish or cross on a car next to their favorite sports team sticker proclaiming love for Jesus and the Bulldogs in equal parts. “My team and my god are better”. This to you is not shoving it down everyone’s throats? I love how well you expressed your respect for us: ‘you are a miserable minority, so be glad we are so respectful of you people.’

  What is wrong with someone showing the patriotism and linking to their belief or non-belief? Isn’t that what every politician does? Wear they flag pins. Spend time at every debate convincing all listen of who is the best Christian with the most fate and therefore the most patriotic. I HOPE “EQUALJUSTICE” believes in equal justice. I think most non-believers are far more interested in you leaving their non-deist beliefs alone than bothering yours.

  And HKS – how does hoping the plane crash send any good message patriotic or religious?
