  • My apologies. My daughter “helped” me with this post, as you can see.

I am a senior at Liberty University. I attend on-line classes and considering that I haven’t attending college classes in over thirty years, this school offered everything I was looking for. I have never heard or read a single slam about liberals or homosexuality. We are taught all classes through a Christian world view, which has proven refreshing. We are taught to be tolerant, loving, generous and understanding to all people, even those who do not share our views. No one twisted my arm to attend this institution, but I glad to call it my school. The people in Mass. don’t have too attend the school, but it would be nice for them to open their minds to other belief systems. Yes, Christianity is the foundation of the school. If it doesn’t serve your needs, don’t attend. If you would feel uncomfortable working there, don’t apply. There is no underlying conspiracy in wanting to expand into Mass. other than making the campus experience available to more people. Any

  • Alright now, Rush honey. The room got quiet so listen up. You are on the right track. But remember, there are six basis for including a book in scripture:

    1. It must be prophetic (written by a prophet).
    2. It must be authoritative (claims to be God’s message….“thus saith the Lord”)
    3. It must be authentic (written by the person who claimed to be its author.)
    4. It had life-transforming power.
5.It is widely recognized as the Word of God.
6..It was reliable (the contents were consistent with the rest of Scripture, the data accurate, and there were no inconsistencies in the book)

The books that are being discussed here did not meet these criteria.. Remember: no church or council made the books authoritative by their vote or recognition. They met the criteria recognized by all theological authorities.

Have a merry Christmas! May God bless you all!

  • @twobyfour
That is so cute! I gotta remember that.

  • Sweetheart Big Daddy! Honey, listen. He was wrapped with a simple shroud because they did not have time to complete the entire ritual because the sun of setting on the Sabbath. Jews are not allowed to work on the Sabbath, which began at sundown. So you see, the women were coming back to the tomb on Sunday to complete the burial ritual complete with the herbs and proper strips of cloth. And ya know what? He wasn’t there!!

Now I don’t know if this is the burial shroud of Christ or not. It sure is compelling, don’t you think? Man may never know for sure while we are here on earth, but we know for sure later.

    Merry Christmas!

  • How would olive skin have shown on the shroud?

  • I wouldn’t dare interrupt such wonderful banter. It would just be – well – rude. You, however, seem to have the upperhand. Perhaps you could tone down the anger a bit. It’s getting a tad loud. Please, continue.

  • I agree. There are a few folks there that need to be taken behind the wood shed for a little lesson by the “board” of education – the principle and the idiot who sent him a death threat. Where did a little common sense go? Is it, too, politically incorrect? God have mercy on this nation.

  • You are simply amazing. You are the parent of the child that stares at my child in the grocery store. You are an idiot.

Not all special needs children are mainstreamed. And there are actually some parents, like me and my husband, who do understand that your children should not be distracted by a child like ours. We completely agree that for some of her classes, she is better off away from your children so that she can concentrate on her goals. She also doesn‘t need to be around children as perfectly normal as yours so that she won’t learn things she shouldn’t like talking back to a teacher, picking on others that are different, schoolwork is secondary to athletics and cheerleading, having the current cellphone, who is wearing what brand of jeans or shoes, who is friends with whom on Facebook, etc. My child is with her peers only at certain times of the day. My child’s peers have been with her since she was in kindergarten and could certainly teach you a thing or two about what perfectly normal children like yours could learn from a Down syndrome child.

Now, why don’t you just take your perfectly normal children and skedaddle on out of here. You’ve got me bristled.

  • Wow, ya’ll remind me of arguments during my theology class. And, yes, I am a theology student. I have truly enjoyed your jousts. Please, do continue.
