‘Notoriously Persecuted’: Hundreds of Christians March Across Brooklyn Bridge to Protest NYC Church Ban
January 30, 2012 at 8:51pm
Too often we allow the radical, secular, progressive, activists to structure the arguement. Christianity has a long standing and crucial role in our culture and civilization. The question is not why should they be allowed to continue meeting in the schools but what possible justification there could be to exclude them all. They should have to justify the radical, social engineering changes they want to make to the country.

Congress used to hold different Sunday services all day, every Sunday, in the Capitol building. Public buildings are public and should be open to religious groups. What’s next no crosses, or religious symbols on student’s clothing in those “govt. buildings”. Will religious people be banned from public parks, streets, etc, etc. This is blatant, irrational, unwarranted, persecution and should not be tolerated.
Is This the Reason Obama Said ‘No’ to the Keystone Pipeline?

Once again I am impressed that someone who spouts propaganda nonsense like Marine25 can still be so condescending. I guess it’s a strategy to ridicule others when you have no facts or logic on your side. If Exxon sells American oil at a lower price in America and around the world, then Exxon will get the profit from that barrel of oil not the Saudis or Chavez. Higher prices do not, automatically, help Exxon, lower prices do not, automatically, hurt them. Walmart sells a lot for low prices and still manages to find a profit. Foreign oil imports decreased because DEMAND decreased since Obama’s hyper-regulation and socialist policies have trashed our economy. It’s like celebrating because a cancer patient on chemotherapy eats less food and loses weight, it’s not a healthy sign. AND I have a master’s degree, Mr. Formal Education!

Homosexual activists, like most activists, don’t really care about rights, marriage, homosexuality, or the homosexuals themselves. Their over-arching, dominating concern is POWER and how they can use this agenda to achieve and maintain it. Environmental activisits like Al Gore, racial activists like Al Sharpton, and every other kind will never let their pet issues be “solved” because they would lose power. Give them everything they want and they will find a new demand. If you give a mouse a cookie…
In their self-righteousness, they demand that everyone publicly accept that 2+2=5 and proclaim homosexuality is just as good or better than traditional marriage and they will never stop grinding it in everyone’s face. Grant gay marriage in all 50 states and the District of Columbia tomorrow and they will find some new demand. You can bank on it.

Many of them left Mexico because the revolutionaries were killing them. Some of them were executed because they would not deny their faith. Mormons know what it is like to have their freedom denied. If you disagree with Romney criticize his record and positions. Stop with the bigotry and conspiracy theories.
NBC’s Chuck Todd Rips Colbert: ‘Making a Mockery of the System’ With ‘Anti-Republican’ Agenda
January 21, 2012 at 10:51am
What a lovely blend of rich-bashing class warfare and anti-mormon bigotry! I thought the factual innaccuracies and out of context word twisting was a very nice touch. Romney should release his tax records when Obama opens his college transcripts.
If you want to critcize Romney, criticize him on his record and positions, there are things there I am not happy with. Romney is not my first choice because of his record and positions but let’s be grown-ups about it!
It’s Official: State GOP Confirms Santorum Iowa Winner
January 21, 2012 at 10:34am
I like Rick! The party should not play games like this. We need a new nominating system that gives all the states the same voice. Sorry Iowa, New Hampshire, etc the country deserves a better way to make their voice heard.
‘Betraying Jesus’: Pastor Tells Rev. Graham to ‘Repent’ for Saying It’s OK to Vote for a Mormon

I would like to thank Conniption Fitz (spelling? but cool handle) for a very interesting explanation on religious history. I am not sure what his point is other than to define the terms which we are discussing. By his explanation and definition, a case can be made that almost any Christian denomination would qualify as a sect. I only object to the term because of the horribly negative Jim Jones sort of connotation it now carries.
I would really like to thank him for making such a compelling case for the desperate need the world had and has for Joseph Smith and his successors.
“One brief guide to core Christianity is The Vincentian Canon (434 AD) – Generally and historically attributed to St. Vincent of Lerins: Quod Semper, Quod Ubique, Quod ab Omnibus (that which has been believed always, everywhere, and by all)”
These sorts of religious philosophical opinion polls dramatically demonstrate how far Christianity of that time had strayed from the teachings and organization of Jesus. No prophet, from Adam, Noah, Moses, Isaiah, Peter, James, or John, built the church of God by opinion poll creeds of belief or violent philosophical battles. They drew on authority, inspiration, and revelation from God. That is how the true church was and should be.
‘Betraying Jesus’: Pastor Tells Rev. Graham to ‘Repent’ for Saying It’s OK to Vote for a Mormon

Jesus, in the bible, issued only one insult. It was the harshest condemnation he offered directly against a group or individual. HYPOCRITE!!! This pastor and all the hateful, cruel, misguided commenters need to repent. Jesus did not “return railing for railing” he simply spoke and taught the truth. I don’t recall him ever telling other Jews they were not “real” Jews, even the Pharisees and Sadducees. He only spoke against them when they tried to discredit and kill him to reveal their folly. FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE!! Stop speaking evil of what you do not understand (see your New Testament). In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we do not waste one precious minute of Sunday school or any other meeting teaching everyone how wrong other churches are. We do not waste a drop of ink or sheet of paper publishing books or pamphlets against other religions. We are trying to love everyone and draw closer to God. We are not perfect people but we are fully committed to Jesus Christ and his teachings. Stop fighting us it is useless and beneath you, beneath the Lord you proclaim. Follow His example and let us cooperate to make the country a better place.
